Yes it has been quiet on here lately but most of that is because of the problems we are having with the site, also not much going on in the live chat window anymore for I find that a lot of the members get on and post what they want then leave. Just remember if you do ever get another bird that Pepper remains the number one bird meaning he is first to be fed, let out of his cage when you come home, first to be spoken to and such, he will assume the position of flock leader and he must be shown that respect. When you said he becomes feisty that is the leader coming out in him, he likes Missy but when he has had enough he lets her know but then that is ok.

Like the others have said it would be ok to take Pepper to the beach, as with anywhere you take him he has to have shade so he does not get overheated and provide water at all times. He would enjoy being in the outdoors and if you get one of those carriers with cloth covers take it off so he has good air ventilation.

Well it looks like it is mutual from the video, its so endearing that they get along so good, Pepper has a play buddy and yes Missy is looking for a quick meal but it will be interesting to see if they are still good friends later on.

It is a real confidence booster for him to be able to fly, he can do more of those awe inspiring hanging upside down and with one leg and he seems very happy with himself, it is fun to watch them doing this. Thanks for sharing this with us Jan.

Joe could be molting but have you checked the ends of the feather shafts to see whether they have been chewed? If so then he may be plucking them but don't jump to conclusions just yet. They will go thru regular molts but the tail and wing feathers will molt out a few at a time so they will still be able to fly.
