  1. I can imagine he was very shaken and scared but he will settle down soon, poor thing didn't know what was going on with his world and was expecting to see more but hopefully he won't experience it again but I doubt it.
  2. How sweet is that to hear, almost as sweet as hearing them say "I love you" you must be grinning from ear to ear, I hope you gave her a treat.
  3. Mango is one silly looking bird, what a character she is, I had heard that caiques are clown like birds and now I see that is true, thanks Caitlin for sharing that with us.
  4. Poor Dayo will most likely be caged now when the vacuum comes out but you got to hand it to him that he is one smart bird, I wonder what he will figure out next, thanks for sharing that with us Dan.
  5. When you said "must see" you weren't kidding, what a beautiful "carpet" of those amazons but I am curious about the blue headed ones I see, smaller but have a striking blue head, do you know what they are?
  6. Plain Jane, no way Jay, that is another beautiful entry into the amazon of the week, lovely colors in this one.
  7. I don't know whether even finches could be housed in that small thing, it is only 7" deep but any bigger bird would just chew their way out, thanks for sharing it with us, looks like more of an ornamental object.

Just because he didn't act like theirs he is labeled not normal, that is their opinion so don't let them make you feel like he is abnormal. Go again tomorrow, he has just as much right to be there as any of the other birds, the other bird owners should know that they are all individuals and that no two are alike.
  9. So you let the processor do the work, funny how I thought you were so busy cutting and chopping yourself, I have one but rarely use it, I will now.
  10. Thats great Jess, I never thought of that but I don't see why it wouldn't work, thanks for the tip and karma for sharing it with us.
  11. I guess if it was in small amounts it won't harm them but as in everything else moderation is the key, I would have been concerned if it was one you had to add egg to, that would have been a definite no no as raw eggs can have salmonella, they are a no no for us too.
  12. Well I do eat meat and its my choice and I don't feel any remore for doing so but I do respect others who do choose to not eat meat for whatever reason as you say it is a personal choice but you got to admit that we love to "rib" you about it. Yeah just what does a vegetarian look like, I guess they think they are skinny people since they don't eat meat, now I am not implying that you are not skinny but maybe you have womanly curves, does that get me off the hook!
  13. I love this Jan, he is so entertaining there chatting with you while you fix supper, love the suppertime comment, thanks for sharing that with us.
  14. Thats all that really matters Lyn, if her weight is stable then she is fine so don't be such a worrywart.
  15. I think it was meant for us to eat meat, besides other animals eat meat and we are animals too but if you don't eat meat then that is your decision but you are missing out on some good protein.
  16. There is no fool like an old fool Jill, you will grasp that meaning when you are as old as I am, heh heh heh!
  17. Thats tomorrow, I can't wait as I am sure you are chomping at the bit to get him home, first chance you get after getting him home is post some pictures.
  18. Lamb, pig makes no difference, they both are God's creatures, right!
  19. Well if anyone can bring Kopi out of his shell it will be you Dee, you are very patient woman and this works to your advantage so keep us updated and more pictures are always welcome.

  21. You must live close to a beach, wish I did for it is a 5+ hour drive to the nearest one for me, I love walking in the sand.
  22. Greys will practice their speaking skills before they actually say words, that is evident in the throaty sounds you are hearing, practice makes perfect they say and when they feel they have it right then you hear words then phrases. Paco is taking his time as most do but its coming so be prepared to be amazed. B)

  24. That looks good enough to eat! I love how the light brings out the beautiful coloring of the feathers on Sachi's head, gorgeous. Thanks for sharing it with us.
