  1. At least our greys can smell good with all these spices they can eat!
  2. I think you are biased but yes he is the cutest thing with a messy beak, thanks for sharing it with us.
  3. Yes you did find a few resources for herbs and spices, thanks for finding and sharing them with us. I am not surprised that you found ways to roast a turkey!
  4. Dee I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Kopi, he was a fighter but the battle proved to be too much and now he is with his brother. You have been an inspiration to us all and I don't know how you handled it as well as you did, Dave is right you are a strong woman for it takes a lot to be handed what you had and to keep such good spirits, we all could take a lesson from you. I know your heart is breaking now but you do have many friends here who will help or assist you with anything you need but be assured that neither Juno or Kopi will ever be forgotten.
  5. Oh no Adina, say it isn't so, we so enjoy Emma, Sachi and now Mabel and love the videos and pictures you so graciously shared with us, what can the problem be that makes you want to leave our family?
  6. Maggie looks like she is enjoying playing with that toy and yes a lot of greyt toys come from the baby's section of the stores and they are cheaper too than made for bird toys, thanks for sharing that with us.
  7. Cody is going to have to learn how to perch the best way he can since he has that deformity and I think you are doing the right thing now in leaving his perches low and putting padding down to soften any falls as he adjusts to using his foot to the best of his ability. When he starts getting around good then you can put him into a larger cage. Most baby greys are a little clumsy to start off with and he has a deformity that makes it harder for him but he will adjust to it soon. Your avian vet may have some more ideas and can better help you with Cody.
  8. I like Senorita with Rita for short, a lovely name for a grey.
  9. Ok sorry, you will have to do a google search to find them where you can order them from, I forget that we have members from all over the world on here.
  10. Here is one source for those heated perches: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=10899
  11. You can call me anything as long as you don't call me late for dinner! I live in the mountains Janet but it is 5+ hours drive to the nearest beach alas I wish I was closer but no cigar.
  12. This setup can work if you have heat which you say you do but I would like to see the cage in the living part of the house where everyone else is for greys are social and like to be with the rest of the flock but it will certainly need some out of cage time.
  13. I would just toss it as it would have to be sanded down and powder coated to be used for your bird, that would cost more than just getting a new one in my opinion.
  14. That was cute, what nice companions to help you study for the big test, thanks for sharing that video with us Robin.
  15. Yes I have heard this too, probably if they need more for tests than just a drop they need for dna results, I will ask my vet about it the next time she goes in for a checkup.
  16. This is something I was not aware of but if it is true then it should be checked out if the head shaking is constant but my Josey just does it from time to time.
  17. Kiko is a lovely looking grey and we look forward to seeing and hearing lots more about him.
  18. This is such a beautiful story and has been posted here before but it is a good read for those who are new to the forum, thanks Rose for sharing it with us.
  19. Hello MarcusCag and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your cag Marcus. He is a lovely chap if that is him in your avatar.
  20. I am sorry to hear you are missing Pepper and I hope you are covering all avenues to recover your bird, this is a link to a new site you might want to consider. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/showthread.php?190955-ParrotAlert.com
  21. Maui is such a sweet baby and I love them at this age, so young and adorable, thanks for sharing it with us.
  22. So glad this story had a happy ending and thanks so much for including the wording "but only for an hour" in the title for without it I might have had a heart attack when I first saw it. Wow Barbara that would have been my guess when seeing the overturned cage that my bird was killed by the dog but glad your little sennie got himself out of harm's way.
  23. That is a greyt picture of Leo, thanks for sharing it with us.
  24. I did enjoy it, nice to see Maui gets along with the cockatiel though that tail is so inviting to bite, thanks for sharing it with us.
  25. Yes please keep us updated on the progress and we would love to see some pictures of him if you have any you would share with us, btw what is his name?
