  1. Josey never poops on me anymore and she does have several areas of her cage where she drops them regularly but usually as soon as I drop down that top door of her cage she appears and drops one over the side.
  2. If your baby is not eating or drinking then he should be seen by an avian vet and that blood loss would concern me also, please take him ASAP and let us know what you find out, hope he is going to be ok.
  3. Oh I may have to get a couple of them myself as I like to cross stitch but haven't done any in years, thanks for sharing the site with us.
  4. Dan is right, greys tend to be one of the quieter parrots but they all have their noisy times, I don't think you will find one that never shuts up, some may chatter to themselves more than others, after all they are all individuals with their own personality.
  5. Way to go Rose, you have made some great toys but do leave a couple to play with as foot toys, you can get very creative if you had different colors of them but who wants to buy sodas you don't normally drink just to get the color of top, why not enlist friends, family and neighbors to keep theirs and then you may have a wide variety of colors, thanks for posting the pics of your creation.
  6. I think yours is the exception to the rule but I still stand by the rule of each bird having their own cage even if they spend their daytime hours in a room of their own, yes they are flock birds but each can appreciate some time to themselves if they want after all we as humans can do with a little alone time even if and especially if we are married. I think it just makes good sense to have separate cages for the day may come they have to be separated for some reason.
  7. They do don't they at least Dayo does, he has quite a conversation with himself and you hear Jake chime in with a few tips, I love how he laughs like you and says the word ravioli, he must be wanting some, thanks for sharing that with us Dan.
  8. He looks like he is ready for some pumpkin, maybe you will have to purchase another one so he can have one to eat while he sits on top of the Halloween one, thanks for sharing that pic with us Ray.

    Hawk!

We have hawks here also and I know they see them fly by from the windows but they don't pay much attention to it except for Sunny, she is the one with "eagle eyes" that is always on the lookout and when she spots something she will take flight away. My hubby walked right by a red tailed hawk this summer, it was perched on the fence around our garden and it sit there for a few minutes before it took flight.
  10. Well congrats Adina on your new aquisition of a severe macaw, Mabel has landed in the lap of luxury with you as her mom, what a lucky fid she is, she will have the best of everything, food, toys, perches and the love and companionship of her adoring owner. She is lovely from the videos you shared and imagine what she will look like in time, I guess you weren't looking for another bird but a bird chose you, sometimes it happens that way so enjoy her and thanks for sharing the videos with us, guess we will be seeing more of her and the other two. Thanks for giving her a forever home Adina, too bad it took so long but she is in seventh heaven now.
  11. Yes I give my grey those bottle caps and they come in a variety of colors depending on what sodas you buy, she loves to destroy them and they would make a good toy if you want to take the time to make something with them, let us see what you come up with ok.
  12. Nice to have you back Julie and I have one question, do they stay in the same cage? They are becoming more independent now as they get more mature and they should have a separate cage one for each so they have a place they can call their own, their safe haven. Even though they may spend all their out of cage time together, grooming each other, playing together or feeding one another they do require their own cage. I think they will squabble from time to time and that is all the more reason for separate cages, it doesn't matter how many greys you have they still need a solitary cage for each. They are still a long ways from being sexually mature but the need still stands even if they are clutch mates as each has his own personality and should be allowed to express his own in his manner and they can do that in separate cages.
  13. I loved it, thanks for the laugh and sharing it with us.
  14. Now you need to get busy and make some for her out of those parts, can't wait to see what you put together for her.
  15. I can tell you one thing you should have in the cage that might encourage him to play is a big heavy bell, most greys love bells and Josey has one that is her favorite thing to play with, a must have for a grey.
  16. Keep up the greyt work Dee, you and Kopi are a good team.
  17. Is that something that a lot of the birds will do as I have never seen my conure or cockatiel do that and Sunny is definitely old enough to be mature, she has tried to back up to my neck before and I was told that was masturbation?
  18. Its funny but Josey will go in her cage but when she comes out she usually will drop one over the side of the door but she hardly ever drops one on me anymore but Sunny is the opposite, she loves to make me wear her poop, she goes anywhere she feels the need and so does Gypsy, so I am always cleaning up poop but have learned to live with it.

    sprouting

Looks yummy, I haven't had much luck with sprouting but glad it worked for you and Milo loves them, maybe I will give it another go, thanks for sharing the pic with us.
  20. They are nocturnal animals, my grand girls have a couple and they sleep during the day and play at night so you might want to put them in a room other than your bedroom or you might hear them having fun. Would love to see some pics of them when you get the chance.
  21. If he is real active and eating well then I doubt he is sick but like Tina said he should be getting lots other than just seeds and some of the veggies could be causing more watery poops as most of them are mainly water to begin with. Use your own discretion but he should be getting a wide variety of foods and seeds are way down on the list.
  22. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, I would answer your question if I could quit laughing!!
  23. Good eye and thanks for pointing that out for a bird could get hurt from those ends.
