1. Our vet does not recommend letting our bird have soda.. Talon got into some ginger ale a few months back and drank like there was no end. She did spit a bunch up tho. The vet said that because they can not burp, it can be a problem. Other than no nutritional value in it, it doesn't help them at all. If it was flat, that would be a little better. They can't handle the carbonation.
2. I LOVE THAT ONE, one of my favorites past-times as well!

15. I am by no means a photographer, but thought I'd download a picture of what I get to look at next to my house everyday. This is Mt. Sugarloaf, and it overlooks 9 towns. You can hike up it or drive up it. Very nice view from the top. I feel very lucky to be able to see this everytime I walk outside. It's beautiful in the fall as well. I'll post a few another time. ^fixed it! -Melissa Post edited by: Talon, at: 2007/05/15 21:15 Post edited by: Talon, at: 2007/05/15 21:16

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2007/05/15 21:20

19. Talon loves to have nightly noodle time. She has uncooked egg noodles for a nightime hand fed snack.
20. Ya, but have you ever seen 2 little kids pointing a radar gun at you????
21. They don't stay clumsy for very long. SO don't worry, ask the vet and go with your instinct after you hear his recommendation. That's my advice.
22. That's good advice from Caspersmum. Unfortunately, when we got Talon at 9 weeks, she had come to us with her wings clipped. We kept them clipped as we didn't know what would be best for her. She is now 19 months and is able to fly if she wants to. She might fly 2-3 times a day if that, and only to come see where we are. In the beginning, she would try to fly, she would just fly down, she wasn't able to stay up. We were lucky, as she was careful not to get hurt. I prefer her not to be clipped now because if she lands on the floor, i'm afraid one of our 2 cats would attack her. In fact I know they would if I wasn't in the same room. I think it's a matter of preference and what works best for you & your situation. I would worry when they are young about getting hurt.
