  1. Will she be able to have any out of cage time if she's left home? I think that's important for her. How does she interact with them, is she nervous, or comfortable with them if she were to stay home? I'm sure others here will have advice for you and your situation.

    HELP!

    Hi & Welcome to our family! We're happy you joined. Good for you for taking Ruby into your home. It sounds like you are doing all the right things with her. She needs the comfort and assurance from you so she can adjust to her new home. Keep up all the love you are showing her. I would never let her have the run of the house unsupervised, with or without your dog. There are too many hazards for her, wires, windows, etc. Please keep us updated. We love photo's, so please post one when you can. We are here for you, so any questions you may have, please ask away!
  3. Yes Monique, it is wonderful that they are looking for a good home for her. It's just sad to see that she has had such a rough time of it at such a young age. I only hope that her next home if her final, & most loving home she can have.:dry:
  4. What a great idea! Is there a list of any herbs that they can not have anywhere?
  5. Well Everyone who is interested in this thread. Talonsis just finished the last & final Harry Potter Book in 9 hours. {Emotions-00020075} She won't share any info with me, so I'm on my own. I certainly won't read it in 9 hours, because I'm here too much, but I will read it.
  6. I would rescue him, but I'm far away, and I don't think 2 greys would get along so well at my house, considering they would both be out of their cages most of the time.
  7. I agree with you birdgranna. Some one needs to rescue him. :( It shouldn't cost anything to get him back to being healthy. Just love, attention, and good care.:dry:
  8. Josh, I had to use the backwards technique ( putting my finger from behind) when we first were teaching Talon to step up, as she would bite if you put your finger near her belly. It didn't take long before she understood, and allowed us to have her step up from the front. Sounds like you're doing very well. Keep it up!
  9. Very cute Tari! Thanks for sharing his progress. He looks so happy & healthy!
  10. What a beautiful cage. And the price is so cheap? Is it stainless steel? Could it be shipped?
  11. I wonder if this is different for CAGs vs. TAGs. Talon never tries to get out of her cage. She is a tag, and seems to be less destructive in her toys as well. Just curious....:huh:
  12. Dan, I too was tempted after I saw this months issue. They are beautiful birds! :kiss:
  13. I put plastic office chair mats under Talons cage or play area. It makes clean up quick & easy.
  14. Kathy, Hi & Welcome to our family. Judy pretty much answered all your questions. Read as much as you can here. There is some excellent advice based on years of experience from all our members. We are happy you are here. I love your choice of presents!! Any questions, feel free to ask away. If you have a photo, please post it in our What do you look like thread. :)
  15. Josh, Great pictures. You must be having so much fun with him. He's beautiful! :cheer:
  16. LIia, That is very insightful. A good reminder that emotional behavior is important to everyone including your birds.
  17. All the supermarkets near my house have salad & fruit bars. That's how I get different things for Talon to try. But she won't eat anything unless I eat some first.
  18. How sad! Someone needs to rescue that poor bird. :ohmy:
  19. Josh, Congratulations! I'm so happy you took this cute bird into your home. I know you will love it, and take great care of it. Please keep us posted! :)

    Steve, I was talking to her on the IM after she came home from the hospital and the next day. I'm so sorry, things are so difficult for her right now. Please tell her she is in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. We'll miss you, but look forward to her return. And tell her Thank you for letting us know, we do worry when we don't hear from a member of this family for a few days. GET WELL SOON!! {Love-000200C5}
  21. Dan & Judy, I couldn't have said it better myself. I watched it twice with tears both times. (don't think I can handle a third time!) Frank, as Judy says, I never want to be without you in my life either. You truly love every one of our family members and their birds. Your one of a kind. Thank you for loving us, and for being here, where you belong. {Love-0002012D}
  22. Oh, that's too bad. Looks like it's our loss....... Unless your girlfriend would be willing to share that photo? Just a thought.......:pinch:
  23. Sounds very fair Dan. Hurry everyone, get your entires in ASAP! {Characters-00020061}
  24. Number6, she won't photoshop anyone, without asking their permission ahead of time. So, don't worry, a photo of you would be very nice to see. :)
  25. By the time Talon is wrinkly & crinkly, so will I...........that's a sad thought. :pinch:
