1. I live in Massachusetts. But will one day move to Florida. Too cold here for me!!! And 3 feet of snow right now, I've had enough!
2. This does seem like it could be hard to keep not so personal. Remember........the guys are always lurking!!!B) B)
3. That's cute! I live about 20 miles from Dr. Seuss hometown. There is a museum that was built a few years ago in his honor. I am ashamed to say, I have never gone.:pinch:
4. Very nice stories to read everyone. Thanks for sharing them! B)

can i ask?

Yes, a picture would help. That doesn't sound normal/ Perhaps a vet visit is in order asap. You don't want to mess with his vision.
6. Judy gives good advice! Yes, enjoy the trip!! et us know how you do.
7. Judy, where did you get your cage? I want to get a new one for Talon seeing as she is spending more time in her cage since I moved. I just love yours!! :)
8. W e got 10 more inches of snow today. we already have over 3 feet on the ground. Let's bring on Spring!! Please...........................:woohoo: :woohoo:
9. You are absolutely right Judy. He had no other choice. Ceasar will be fine once he gets into his new home, he will adjust nicely, I'm sure. And yes, Kat has a choice, which I have already stated my opinion.

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2008/03/02 04:22

Roll Call

Here Here!!! Hi Tari! B)
11. They are always sooooo happy to see you when you return. You will definitely feel the love when you come back.
12. Welcome. Patience is the key.....that, and a little more info so we may be able to offer better advice.
13. I am in contact with him daily, he is moving, thus the trip with Ceasar. They are still driving, they left this am. Ceasar is mostly confused and stressed because he watched the movers come in his home and pack everything up and take it out including his cage.Tthen he spent 2 days at another house, now he has been in the car all day. He is not in a travel cage, just hanging out in Frank's coat with him as he is driving. So he has been quite tressed over it all. He still has a big adjustment once he gets to Fl, a new house, etc.

15. Chickens are sooo quick and fast, I am not afraid of them, but I can see how others could be.
16. I would rather leave him home if it were me, as he at least knows his surroundings and IF you could find someone else to care for him, it would be better. I do know of that Ceasarsdad, one of our admins is at this very moment driving to Florida from NY. So far Ceasar, (his grey) has logged 660 miles just today. He seems to be doing ok, but it is very stressful for a grey, they don't really know what's happening and where they will be going. Plus when you get him there, it will be all new surroundings which can be quite stressful. Just another opinion to consider.
17. Well seeing as we thought Talon was a MALE for a year and a half, we found out he was a SHE!!! IT sure took a while for us to adapt to that change after calling him a he!! :pinch: I hope you don't have to experience that! And HELLO............We're all here waiting.........hurry up and post the results!!!
18. Yes, they like to be up higher than you, but you shouldn't let them. They need to know that you are in charge, not them. You really need to be careful with your face, one bite by mistake can do serious damage. Many members don't allow their greys on their shoulders, but others do. It is a privilege they should earn only when they are behaving while there. Be careful how you say NO NO NO, it sounds like it would be fun for her to hear, maybe just a stern "No, followed by her name, I say, "No Talon, no heads" and put her elsewhere, I don't say it too sternly, as they like the influctuations in your words, it's fun for them to hear, and it could become a game. I'm sure others will offer different advice, just be consistent, and do what you feel will work for you.
19. This is a great thread!  When you are decorating your new house and your only concerns are where will you put all the play stands/ perches. cages/ etc. Also, you wear your coat and sweatshirts out of the house with dried poop on them and don't care, while your kids are all grossed out.
20. Hello and Welcome to our family. Sounds like it was the perfect match! I'm so happy you took her in. I look forward to hearing more, and please post some photo's when you can, she sounds adorable!! :cheer:
21. OMG! You poor thing!! Talon likes to try and go on your head, but I immediately take her off and put her elsewhere, and tell her "NO heads". :pinch: Maybe putting her elsewhere instead of on your shoulder after you take her off of your head, will help her to realize that your haed is off limits. It may have become a game to her to go from your shoulder to your head, only to have you put her back on your shoulder so she can climb up again! Sounds fun huh? You could try it?
