  3. Aww. He is adorable. And he seems to really love you already. The others give good advice. I'm sure with all your tlc, he will be just fine very soon.
  4. It's funny how different they are. Talon doesn't really like fruits, and it took her about 4 months to finally eat veggies. She does have her favorites though. :pinch:
  5. Sounds like his diet is good. Are you able to see the vet soon?
  6. Hi and Welcome! I look forward to hearing more and seeing pictures!
  7. OMG! I have tears in my eyes. Toni is such a wonderful person, a very valued and respected member of our family here. Please pass on my best wishes for a speedy recovery to her. She is in my thoughts and prayers. Please tell her we are so thankful that she was lucky enough to have survived. Things happen for a reason, she should concentrate on getting better, and seeing that this is a sign that perhaps she needs to take a step back and put herself first for a change. Please keep us posted on her progress.
  8. Hi Ashley and welcome! I'm very excited for you! I bet you can't wait. Keep us posted on his/her progress as time goes on!
  9. HI Lovely and welcome! 5 months is a great age! I had my grey shipped via Delta. Just get there early for pick up so he doesn't have to remain in the cargo any longer than is necessary It takes time to do all the paperwork. I can't wait to see pictures and hear more. Please keep us posted!
  10. Hi Thomas! Welcome to our family. You do have a houseful!! But I am happy for you, sounds like your grey is a sweetheart, and feeling very loved and comfortable already!! I look forward to hearing more and seeing some photo's!!
  11. HI and Welcome to our family! I am so excited, time will pass quickly for you I hope! Can't wait to see her when she's home!!
  12. Hi Tina and welcome to our family! I can't wait to see pictures!!! B)
  13. Fuuny! I love the Outback Rest. :woohoo:  B)
  14. WOW! I could never hold Talon to even see that. I have never seen or heard anything like it. Please let us know what the vet tells you.
  15. Thanks Joe, but I do understand it's a MEN ONLY thread, so I respect that and just enjoy watching the fun as you try to keep the girls out!!
  16. Great photo's! Hard to choose just one.
  17. Hi Joe, I'm lurking................does that count?? {Characters-0002012F}
  18. Yes, greys don't like to share a cage unless they are clutch mates and have been housed together all along. More info from you would definitely help us advise you better. But for their safety, please separate them asap.
  19. Talon dumps her things too! I have locks on mine so she can't knock her food or water over. I don't like the water bottles, as I find them hard to clean even with a bottle brush, too many nooks and crannies.
  20. Siobhan, I LOVE what you did with the flames!! How appropriate. :cheer:
  21. OMG! He is adorable!! I just want to kiss and hug him too! Thank you for sharing those with us. What a sweet, love you have there!
  22. Kristin, thank you for sharing that with us. It helps to know that others are working that hard. Your a great motivator. I think what you are doing is quite a healthy way to go about it. You, I'm sure are feeling much healthier!! I pretty much have the same schedule as you, but my scale has gone up, not down!! I wonder if it could be because I am gaining muscle? I think it's probably a little of both. :( :pinch:
  23. Well,Dave has pretty much said it all! Not much to add except that I agree with everything he has advised you on. I would add that a relaxes, respectful, happy environment is the best to have a happy, healthy bird!
  24. The talk radio is great! You have your choices of comedy stations such as comedy central, various talk shows, fox news, cnn, etc. Mny different genres of music, radio disney for the kids, adult only stations for us pretend grownups!
  25. I think for a sleep cage, it will be fine. Do you have a place for some food and water dishes? Some like to snack at night. I think for going outside, it will be perfect, and I love the idea of the play area on top. It has great potential!! I would be careful about the painting though, if the paint has chipped off, it will continue. The sisal rope might be a better option. You could have it sandblasted and then painted also. I'm sure others here will have different ideas. B)
