Well, Thank you for that explanation. But as I previously stated, If we had a little more background, perhaps you would receive the advice you were looking for. B) P.S. I don't recall anyone "blaming" you or saying you did something wrong.....please don't be so defensive. We are only trying to help....

    bad behavior

Hey Everyone: Before you go and start bickering over the "words" and "opinions" that members write...remember, that this person's first post, is a question that gives us no information, no history, no explanation, no timing as to when this happens, why, how long, etc. Those of us that have been here for years, have seen such posts as this before, and MANY times, it is a troll, or someone trying to get regular members all riled up and arguing.......I'm NOT saying this is the case here, but BEWARE, and without further info from this person, we really can't offer any GOOD advice! How about giving it a rest and waiting for this member to come back and answer some of the questions...if they really wants help, then that's what they would do. But asking a "one'liner" and then disappearing for 3 days tells us otherwise so far.
  3. I am so sorry to hear this. But this really is a question for an avian vet. In the meantime, do as much research on the internet as possible. My prayers are with you.
  4. Woo Hoo! I am so happy for you Carol. I have a tag and a cag just a few months apart, but they weren't brought together until almost a year ago. They tolerate each other, but by no means are they friends yet. I would imagine 2 from the same clutch would love each other and be very different than my 2. Please keep us posted...where are they from?B)
  5. I LOVE it!!! What a great thread!!! I'd love to see the White House Staff running around cleaning bird poop off of everything. And Obama's papers all chewed!!
  6. Well, good for you! You will do great, and there is a lot of medical in personal training that most people don't know. I felt like I was studying to be a nurse, that's what I kept telling my kids. Thanks for your support Judy!!!
  7. Congrats Erika! I am proud of you!! I too am back in school studying the same body parts, muscles, tendons, ligaments, metabolism, body fat, target heart rate, etc. I am now taking my certification test for personal fitness trainer and it is a lot of info to stuff in this old brain of mine!
  8. This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing this with us!! Karma for you!
  9. I have one like this only white. I have toys all over it, covered the perches in vet wrap, and hang a squiggly boing from the ceiling onto this. Talon loves it!B)
  10. I saw this too! She is amazing and so humble.
  11. I have been to your site and I have a question...Why are some of the african greys so inexpensive? And why do some have no price?
  12. Johnny If you would like to start some discussion or sharing ideas, please feel free to start a new thread in the Off-topic Room. Although I realize that the Rain Forests are very much relevant to AG's, I feel that such a discussion would be best served in that room. It would probably get lost elsewhere in the shuffle of various topics. B)
  13. I will send this link to the owners as they are the ones who can make that decision. B)
  14. Yes, all you need to do is pm an admin...
  15. OMG...................I feel so alone................. {Feel-bad-00020072}
  16. WELL.........where did everyone go.......  I am in the middle of my certification test, still going to the gym, biking there, running outside and weightlifting. HELLO????? Anyone here?  :side:
  17. Not sure if I ever updated this, but I have a 3 1/2 year old tag and a almost 3 1/2 year old cag!B)
  18. {Communicate-000200D4} Just kidding Dan....Thanks!!
  19. Thank you Dave for reminding our members that this is just a "FORUM OF GREY OWNERS" not experts. Our advice is strictly that, advise based on our own experiences and personal opinions and not meant to used in place of a "professional" expert licensed in the avian medical practice. 20. They get used to it.....
  21. I would be worried about splinters......... Buy some natural sisal rope at the hardware store and wrap the perches in that. That's what I have done in the cages, and others here use it too. B)
  22. That is perfectly normal!! A lot of birds do that, both of mine do, they hold it in, they don't want to dirty their house! In fact, I take them over to their "potty basket" and they poop there! So don't worry!

    Do I or Don't I?

UPDATE: I called the woman today, and she has changed her mind. She said she can't give her 2 birds up as they are like her children. She is putting them in travel cages and driving them out to Kentucky from MA. So, I'm happy that they get to stay with their family, and if it was meant to be, then it would have happened differently. :cheer: :cheer: I can breath a sigh now.......

    Do I or Don't I?

Thanks everyone! Your all crazy too!  Her name is Akela. I was told it was African and meant beautiful. I have not seen her yet, it wouldn't make a difference what she looks like or how she behaves. She needs a loving happy home, and that's what she'd get here. B) I will be calling this woman today....she wants to make sure the bird goes to a loving, nice environment. I'll keep everyone posted. YOUR ALL AS CRAZY AS I!!  :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
