  1. We'd love to come see him again! It would probably be a great idea to have us over a few times before you actually take your trip. No, there weren't any pics taken, but the meet and greet actually did take place. Promise!
  2. What a pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet one of our Grey Forum family members last night! Isaac is such a little sweetheart and his doting Parront thoroughly spoils him in the best way possible! :-) Isaac loves to imitate the smoke detector and microwave sounds. Such a little cutie!
  3. So very sorry, Murfchck. Fly with the angels, sweet baby boy.
  4. I'm in Escondido near Lake Hodges. You're maybe 8 minutes from my place. :-) Let's chat whenever you're thinking of going away. I do work 12 hour days every weekend, but on weekdays I'm off. Have a vet assist lead as well who also does pet sitting. She used to work for our avian vet at Acacia VHA.
  5. Just think of the Harrison's as the flour to make the bread. Grind it finely in a food processor and use it as the base. Then add whatever you'd like into that base. The sky is the limit. If it's crumbly, then add water until it holds together, or any other liquid for that matter. Be creative! I've used green naked juice blends as the liquid in lieu of the water. I dump all kinds of things into my bread: unsweetened coconut flakes, almond meal, flax meal, red palm oil, chia seeds, hemp seeds, broccoli, sweet potato, carrots, bell peppers, banana, zucchini...whatever you'd like to disguise and get into your birdie's bellies.
  6. Absolutely! Just double checking that you live in San Diego, correct? Rancho Bernardo area?
  7. You live 10 minutes from my home. I'd be happy to help you out! Just let me know. :-)
  8. It is natural. Makes her look even more special than she already is!
  9. Sounds like you needed to add more liquid, or even a sweet potato. I make birdie bread every 3 weeks using Harrison's pellets.
  10. Call your vet's office. Many vet assistants also moonlight as pet sitters on the side. It would be comforting to have someone caring for our pets who also takes care of pets professionally.
  11. So friggin' cute! Now I wanna teach Maalik how to do that!
  12. Perhaps it was me. I've given Maalik the stink eye if he ever bites. He used to bite when he was around 2, but is much better now. He's 3.
  13. The bigger, the better! My grey utilizes every inch of his cage, except for the very bottom.
  14. Haha Sterling! Greycie Mae's mum on the subject of going. Don't blame her in the least! I pop in and out here. Wish there was more action, but am appreciative of the solid info provided on this forum.
  15. We have 4 German Shepherds. When my fids are out, the dogs aren't allowed in the same room as they're in. I have a dog gate across the entry way, and we've hung curtains that we draw above the gate. Works great for us!

    Poppy

Beautiful baby! Are you planning to leave her beautiful wings intact?
  17. What cuties! I have 2 dusky conures, and a pineapple GCC, plus 6 other fids. My pineapple is such little snuggle bug! Thanks for uploading your babies' pics for us to enjoy!

    New Cage

Maalik likes to shred dampened paper towels, of all things. Heck, it's a cheap 'toy'!

    New Cage

I'm not a big fan of dome topped cages. Grays love to hang at the top for one thing, plus there's less room to hang toys. My vote is for the first one on your list.

    New Cage

The taller and the bigger, the better. My grey spends all his time at the top of his home, and very rarely at the bottom.
  21. Day 2: He won't touch anything in the bowl. As a matter of fact, he's staying completely AWAY from that side of his cage! He didn't even touch his fruits and veggies that are in another dish next to the evil bowl.
