  1. Same here Dan, fingers and toes crossed!
  2. Hope this posts OK! How I wish all of our birds would just say so. Then I wouldn't have to try to read body language to avoid a bite!
  3. What a good report! Sounds like everything is going great. Beautiful pics, thanks for posting
  4. LOL Take pics while you can! Some of our birds develop "camera/phone phobia"
  5. Truth there. I'm always having to tempt Timber's appetite (he is on the thin side and picky). He has decided he prefers me to spoon feed home just about everything. Yes, I've created a monster!
  6. Hello and welcome! Why don't you introduce yourself and your bird and posts some pics?
  7. Hello and welcome I'm looking to have my TAG's band removed. As others pointed out, the band is meaningless and creates some potential hazards.
  8. The sweet potatoes act as a "paste." Think that is what is holding mine together!
  9. I was thinking the same. For a grey, the whole roll is a little large. I had thought of using another type, like ziti, or cutting the lasagna strips in half to make them smaller next time. Timber won't eat uncooked either, and the ones like that I tried stuffing for him were a total failure.
  10. Sounds like things are going great! Not sure what you mean be a therapy perch. My vet said not to use the sandpaper type perches because they are too hard on their feet. There are probably varying opinions on that though. Timber has a variety of sizes and materials of perches. He does have a concrete one, which the vet said was fine and might help with nail grooming.
  11. Mine turned out pretty well. I found that a thinner layer of filling worked best. Timber was somewhat interested, which is good for him. I have to tempt his appetite. I used the recipe as it appears except for using hemp seed instead of walnuts.
  12. Sterling is a beauty! I saw some 5 week old baby CAG's at the bird fair. What a struggle it was not to bring all of them home! Not that I would bring them home at that age, but babies are so tempting to me...
  13. You need more time. It may be months or even years, but one day you will be able to watch those precious videos and smile...
  14. So sorry Nancy! People who aren't animal lovers don't understand how you feel, but we do! It is so very difficult to lose a beloved companion. God bless.
  15. Timber blushes when I am giving him a face scratch he particularly likes.
  16. It is not unusual for Timber to have an abrasion on his face. He gets them from rough play with toys and sometimes from scratching that area with his foot or on objects. I just watch them. However, if I ever suspected one wasn't looking better soon or looked questionable, I'd be hot footing it to the vet.
  17. Great news! Thanks for letting us know
  18. Both are beautiful birds! Thanks for sharing the pics
  19. My sentiments exactly... I didn't know this. Thanks for sharing Ray
  20. How excited you must be! Hello and welcome to you and your baby. Good idea about a familiar toy from the breeder's I'd say.
  21. Hello and welcome! I have only one bird so have no advice for you about their interaction. However, there are several members with multiple greys. I'm sure one of them will chime in! Good luck and God bless
  22. What beautiful videos and what beautiful memories for you! Thanks for sharing
