  1. My TAG is Timber approx. 7 years old.
  2. ^^ What Sterling said. The nice thing about the sproutpeople.org mixes are they sprout at about the same time. The time needed for sprouting varies by variety, so I like to stay with the known. As far as eating, Timber eats the sprout that is coming out and a little of the innard and leaves the "hull."
  3. Europa is making a fast adjustment (for a grey). Sounds like things are going great! She may take an interest in the stand and the perch on the outside of her cage at a later date. Timber will ignore things like that for months, then decide to use them.
  4. I use sproutpeople.org as well. I order the big bird mix, works like a charm in their cheap little sprouter. Since I only have one bird, I do it the easy way and go through them!
  5. You did such a great job! Love all the pics and the movie, thanks for sharing
  6. LOL! What an exciting life you lead. The fids were probably thinking, "they've really lost it this time..."

    Five Facts

    1. I have been in 48 states (not N. Dakota or Hawaii), Canada and Mexico but have never traveled overseas. 2. I have three sons and 3 grandsons (so far), four male cats and a male bird. That means I am definitely the queen, no other females here! 3. I am ranked in the top 3% of bass players on Rock Band III (X-box). 4. I make my own bath soap, laundry soap, body lotion, candles, tarts etc. It's a hobby. 5. I have always wanted to open a restaurant since I love to cook, but don't want the hassle and risk involved.
  8. Europa looks interested, involved and comfortable. Great pics, thanks for sharing
  9. Love the baby pics! How sweet. Almost persuades me (glance down at recently bitten arm) but not quite
  10. Loved the videos! How is Kilaya doing with your wife? Has the situation improved?
  11. Haaaa you might as well load the gun! Such fun though isn't it?
  12. Well trained indeed... Timber doesn't want to sit at the table with us and eat from a plate. He prefers to go to the peak of his cage and making little baby bird cheeping sounds until one of us brings him a bite. If we don't get there fast enough, he latches onto the bars and rattles the cage hard enough to make a metal clanging noise until we get there. I'm afraid to see what he would do if you didn't bring him a bite in response to that! Don't think I want to find out.
  13. LOL to the poop Sterling but isn't it the truth!
  14. Pretty bird! It's funny, I looked at the second pic then looked up. Timber is sitting on his door with one foot up just like that!
  15. That sounds horrible! What a thing to wake up to indeed. I have to say that my first thought when coming downstairs in the morning is "sure hope Timber is OK," even though I have no reason to believe he won't be. Considering the size of your flock, I really don't know how you do it!
  16. Hello and welcome to you and your flock! Love those baby pics...
  17. Enjoyed the pics and the video! What a crew...
  18. Congratulations and thanks for your hard work! You are appreciated
  19. I saw you mention that the temp was 80 inside the cage. I've I'm not mistaken, most here make sure their bird's area stays above 60. My only point here is that your grey will acclimate and it doesn't have to be 80 to keep him healthy. It's possible that I misunderstood what you were saying in that post, if so, just disregard this!
  20. Hello and welcome to you and Coku!
  21. What is the temp inside your house? You gave the temp outside but I was wondering how cold it is in the house. I'm getting a better grasp of the problem you have now.
  22. How cold is it where your CAG's cage is? They can adapt to a pretty broad temperature range.
