  1. LOL Still trying to figure it out! Try this...
  2. Ugh again. Oh well, I'll try something else later!
  3. Not really a diary, but many just start a thread and keep adding to it! Since the posts are dated, you can look back any time and read your older threads from the beginning, so it serves the same purpose.
  4. Ugh. I sure feel for you. My sciatic nerve has been giving me fits, but not to the point yours has!
  5. OK, changed the setting to public. Hope it is visible now!
  6. Ugh, thanks. I didn't think about the facebook thing. I'll try again!
  7. Wow, the quality was a lot better on my phone! Ugh.
  8. I'm trying to post a video of Timber and his forage ball play. Here goes nothing! https://www.facebook.com/Yomamma777/videos/1277489455602001/
  9. Timber loves his boing, but not when I replace it (he shreds on it and it has to be replaced periodically so he doesn't get his talons tangled in the threads). Even if I buy the exact color etc., he looks at it like it is the devil for almost a week. Charlie will warm up to it, you are doing it right just letting him get used to it until he is ready!
  10. That's the truth. I get 95% of my bird stuff online, the other 5% at the annual bird fair about an hour from me.
  11. Timber is a "floor bird" also. He loves to strut around the house, hide behind things and forage for tidbits I might have missed cleaning. He likes to get under his cage and "hide." Sometimes he will take a beloved blue plastic straw under there and I hear his talons scrabbling around under there (tile floor) as he plays with the straw. He also loves to chase shoes. He will bite the shoe then jump on top of it and flap his wings in a show of dominance. They are such funny creatures!
  12. That's great! Timber just likes to be where I am. He rides my forearm (he's afraid of hands) through the house and when I sit, he sits with me. Any playing we do isn't when he's on my arm. That's cuddle time for Timber. When I sit, he'll tuck his head into my chest or stomach and that's my cue to give him a good head scratching.
  13. Hello and welcome to the forum! Post some pics when you have a chance
  14. I'm wondering if there is something fishy going on here. It isn't like Nancy not to respond and she's been on other posts...
  15. So glad to hear this! I just knew he'd pull out of it regardless of the cause (which could well have been a combination of the accident and the environmental differences).
  16. You will definitely have your hands full! Congratulations on having a hatchling. The orbits are pretty popular with most greys I know, as are the boing rope perches. You need to make sure you cut the dangling threads off (greys like to chew on the rope) to prevent them getting a nail caught and injuring themselves.
  17. I'm glad you were able to get an appointment so quickly. Prayers for good news from the vet and a speedy recovery!
  18. Great job! You and Charlie are off to such a good start.
  19. Hello and welcome to you and Charlie That's a really neat picture too. You can see the intelligence in his gaze!
  20. I have no idea as to the health concerns. Someone with more experience will come along. However, I'd definitely have an avian vet check him over, if for no other reason than to establish a baseline. Bless you for taking him in and rescuing him from Walmart seed!
  21. LOL I think the gopro is going to work just fine!
