Sassy

Just got back from another visit. I really wish I could take both. But that's just not in the cards. The older one seems more calm when I hold him. And will even go to sleep. The younger one is always crying. So I'm about 80% sure I'm taking the older one.

Went for another visit today. They are still so cute. Today they were climbing over each other to get to me. Going to spend more time there again tomorrow.

Today I finally got to meet my baby CAG, well met two actually. One is approx 4 weeks and the other is 5 1/2- 6 weeks. They were sooo cute. I get first choice on which one I want. I'm going to spend some time with them but I have no idea which one it will be. The one lady at the shop has a feeling the younger one is a girl and the older is a boy. Enjoy the pics.

Heck with homecoming. I just want to meet the little guy or gal. Hopefully I will tomorrow when the babies arrive from the breeder to the bird shop. I'm soooo excited. I can't wait.

Unfortunatly there is no way to have the cage in the living room. The plan was to have a table top perch/play stand on the table between the couches. I may also get a suction cup window perch so they can see the bird feeder outside. As for sleeping I plan on having a sleeping cage in an upstairs bedroom. I also want a boing hanging in the kitchen area by our breakfast nook. It would also look into the living room. Thanks for the comments.

Hey everyone, I'm in the process of rearranging the den to fit the cage. Having some debate over location. One spot in on the front outside wall between two windows. Floor vent would be under the cage but will be covered with a hard chair mat. From here can see front door and into dining room. The second spot would be the interior wall in a corner. Would be able to see out windows and the front door but not into any other rooms. The third spot is the one I think is best. It on an outer wall toward the stairs that separate the den and living room. From here could see out front windows, into dining room, front door, and into the living room a little. We spend most time in living room. What are your thoughts/suggestions? Thanks.

Well due to a death in the breeders family my baby didn't ship today but it should on Monday. Yeah. They sent a pic of the CAG baby's they are shipping up. They are so cute. They look about 5 weeks but I could be wrong. Lol. I so can't wait to meet the babies and find out which will eventually join my flock.

thanks... I should get confirmation today that everything is on track for tomorrows arrival... I can't wait... Next week while on vaca i'm going to clean and organize the house and try to bird proof it... and hopefully get into a cleaning routine to keep after everything... Sassy

i have a feeling that when I bring my baby home he will probably pick up the call... they are always hanging out on our deck....

Found there is a nest with a couple babies under our deck. I think they are mourning doves... But I can't tell thru the small crack in the planks... Our deck is about 1.5 stories above the ground so they are very well protected. Sassy

There will definitely be pics. Hopefully timing works out and I can see the baby fri night. With the funeral sat not sure if I'll be able to get there while they are open. Hopefully I won't have to wait till Monday. But I'm off all next week so guess where I will be hanging out?!

Thanks. The bird shop just called. Barring any weather issues my bird should arrive on fri. Woot!!!! She will confirm on Thursday. Depending on what time the flight comes in I may be able to see my baby fri night. Oh I can't wait!!!!!!

thanks... I'm just relieved she's not suffering anymore... who knows... maybe she helped get my baby on the way...

I just heard from the bird shop... The babies are supposed to arrive from the breeder in the next day or so... including mine! I can't wait... i'm sooo excited... this is great news on an otherwise gloomey day (friend passed away this am from cancer).... Sassy

Thanks... I do normally have patience... I guess it's just frustrating me because they keep saying next week... we've been through quite a few "next weeks" already... I know the lady at the bird store is getting frustrated too cause my Grey isnt' the only bird she's waiting on... Sassy

I've been waiting for weeks now to find out when my baby will arrive from the breeder in TN to the shop in PA.... When I was in on Sat picking up some items for the cage the owner told me that the breeder told her she would have a definate time table this week. So my question is how often is too often to be calling and checking on when the babies arrive??? :confused: Hmmmm maybe I can call and say that I don't want the baby clipped and see if I can get pictures... UGH!! Guess I need to learn patience... I'm also trying to take things slow at home as not to overwhelm hubby... I've replaced my babking pans and last night picked up a chair mat to go under the cage... WHile I'm on vaca in a couple weeks I plan on doing a major cleaning/organizing/rearranging move on the house and actually get the cage in from the garage.... Sorry for rambling... Lots going on right now (A friend who's like a second mom to me is dying this week of cancer... I just want her pain to stop ) Sassy
