thanks dave. I do use palm oil like you said. im looking at more of the foraging side of things. My sister lives in south texas and i have been talking her into planting a couple of palm trees to be my supplier and who knows maybe a online distributor .

i think you have watched ghost hunters a bit too much. fluorescent lights are one of many items that produce a Electromagnetic field.

hi all; for xmas my wife got me a canon HD video camera. i had been wanting one for a long time and was excited to get it. big problem though. It records in a .MTS format which means i have to download the file, convert the file then maniplate the file. im sorry but my time is short and i do not want to be a editing room. all i want is to be able to take some nice clean sharp videos to keep family/firends updated on my family life and Grey forums updated on my CAG and be able to upload them to youtube or where ever with little or no effort on my end. so i was wondering what gear do you guys use to upload videos? I have a old digital camera but the video quality is sub par, it does the job but the video quality just isnt there. thanks ahead for any advice/input.

ummm no. i cover my birds and they still climb all over the inside of the cage. Gracie will be just fine.

unsupervised birds such as parrots is asking for major issues.. if a fire happens you will have NO idea where your birds is. if a earthquake happens windows break and bird flys out of the house. keeping them safe in the cage at night is the best policy.

100% cag as far as the red on the skin around the eyes. i posted a thread about that myself and was informed by the members here that its called blushing. i googled it and its true parrots do blush, you just see it more on cags and mcaws because of the lack of feathers around the eyes. they blush of various reasons, i have noticed that my cag does it when i get home from work and she is happy to see me. she will start climbing around in her cage, whistling and blushing.

This is what i have to do with Luna. but i do have to hold her because she always grabs the cage with her beak so i have to be quick or its a waiting game until she decides to let go while she is giving me the stink eye. when she is good and does not grab the cage i will put a nut in her bowl as a reward.

i would take the bird with me.

luna was about 900. and that included the dna test and flight from texas to denver. oh and luna is 20 weeks old today. i guess i should post some pics.

i think it will be fine, its a constant white noise that isnt loud. your bird should not be bothered by that.

thanks luvparrots, i have no complaints just in one of my question musing days i guess.

i have two IQ Air HealthPro Plus. it works great but the filters are very expensive. T.R.A.C.S. - Total Room Air Cleaning System With Ultraviolet Light System It seems to work ok, its smaller than the IQ air so i keep it in the bedroom. the filters are cheaper and it has a UV light to kill off mold/bacteria and other nasty stuff.
