We love our CAG and we love our BFA, But there has bin a cockatiel in our home for over 40 years and we love them and have enjoyed them all these years. Most of our male cockatiels talked and they have a personality bigger than life and it was a tiel that lead us to the larger parrots. they do well in and out of the cage. Big parrot experience in a little parrot.

Cricket no longer takes a back seat to Corky when it comes to getting into things. She has taken her place next to Corky when it comes to destruction and than looking at you as if to say (what) We now refer to them as Destructo Birds and Company because Cricket has become a new partner in crime. They are double teaming us when they are out and are having a great time doing it. In the past it was ,Corky stop that, but now it`s, Corky ! Cricket ! what are you doing and where are you. I think we have created two monsters.

Greys are not the only parrots to try and show their love to their choice person. When Cricket is in season she runs to me and puts her head down on the table and lifts her tail high and coos up a storm. When this happens you need to turn your back to them and walk away until they stop. It can be very hard to do, but it needs to be done.

You know your birds better than anyone and if it`s a great deal I would say go for it.

Giver her time to settle in her new home. Every thing is new, new people, new place, all strange to her. Sit by her cage and talk to her, sing or read to her, Offer her treats when you walk by her cage so when she sees you she knows some thing good is coming and she will look forward to you coming. Cricket has always been on the quiet side as compared to Corky my grey. She has been with us for a little over four years now and in the last three months she has become very vocal and getting into more interaction with the other birds when it comes to making noise. She is always changing and keeps becoming more and more as a part of the group. Cricket has always been very close to me in our relationship and over the years has been reaching out to others. It`s amazing how she has being an older amazon, now about 17 years old has changed so much that I have a hard time believing it`s true. Rehome amazons do change for the better and I have one to prove it. There is an old saying. You can look at a good person and find something bad about them. You can look at a bad person and find something good about them. It all depends on what you are looking for.

All things good and bad must come to an end.

Greays can have more than one favorite person. Corky will fly to and spend time with my wife, son and me, and will go to most visitors that come to our home. Most of our friends that come over will stop at Corky`s cage to say hi and she will gladly jump from her cage to their shoulder.

Twelve years with Corky and she still can stop you in your tracks when she opens her beak.
