Ducks (a number of sub species) 10. Chickens (a number of sub species) 11. Love Birds (a number of sub species) Many of us have a strong connection to our feather companions over the years. When I put this list together I had to think way back to my childhood and that was a long long time ago. Did not think I could remember that far back, but I have had all of them from time to time up to modern time, yep I`m old and I have always loved birds. What`s your list like ?? I bet it`s longer than you think.
  2. I hid my cell phone and took hers away.
  3. Cricket my amazon is the sex queen in our house. She even has a web sight looking for single males, although she is always very sweet when in season.
  4. Enjoy every word and every new sound they make.
  5. As you said, It dose not matter, You will love them just the same.
  6. Welcome Angelique and Kiwi to the grey forum. Kiwi is a great looking grey and your dog looks good also.
  7. Dave gave you some good advice and I agree that the Macaw should keep his Number one spot, after all he earned it. The newest member of the flock will take his place and in the proper order as he fits in the scheme of things. Always be aware of what`s going on with all your flock, feather or fur.
  8. Hi Joyce and welcome to you and your new companion to the grey forum. We also have a amazon room. What kind of amazon is Lorrito as I will add him/her to the honored list of amazons of the grey forum.
  9. Oh yah, I know all about that mess on the floor even with the seed catcher on our cages. Sounds like a good idea.
  10. Hi Bigwick. First things first is your grey dose not need rocks or grit in his diet. The second thing is go easy on the fruit as they have lots of sugar and have little nutritional value. Offer a good seed mix along with pellets and vegetables fresh or frozen (depends on time of year) , not to many nuts as they are high in fat. Keep offering the vegetables even if he won`t eat them as he may try them in the future and like them. Greys can be picky eaters. Hope this helps.
  11. Hi Katie and welcome to you and Luigi to the grey forum. The others have given you some good advice so just take your time with him and he will come around in his own time.
  12. Hi Craiggill and welcome to the grey forum to you and your companions. What are your greys name and we also love pictures. Most greys that are pets would rather live in their own cage for the most part and if you want to keep them that way as pets than let them have their own cage. If your female is bonded to you she may never want much of anything to do with the male other than to talk back and forth to him. Only time will tell as to how much they accept each other. If by some chance they bond with each other you may lose a companion that you have loved for years. You have been the center of your little girls life and she may want to keep it that way.
  13. Hi Bigwick70 and welcome to the grey forum to you and your new companion. How about the name of your new friend, how old and we just love pictures.

  16. Mama is home from the hospital and the birds are singing. As my wife came through the door and the birds saw her they all started to yell and sing as they were glad to see her home. Each trying to get her attention and all at the same time. Our two dachshunds, Bacon and Cocoa were all excited to see her and they made her welcome home very special. The first thing Corky our grey did was to fly over and land on her shoulder and poop. (This was the first thing Corky did when we first met her at 9 weeks old.) Although at that time she was to young to fly, but she climbed her arm to her shoulder and pooped. Don`t ask, it`s a special thing with them. Cricket was yelling HI HI and her name Cricket Cricket and Willie our cockatiel was singing up a storm. It was a good welcome home.
