I am going to post this here because the grey lounge is the key to all the other rooms on this forum. I am adding a new feature to both the honored amazons and the honored other fids list. It will be called Tidbit and will be found under the heading of each bird species name and origin. The tidbit will have a short interesting fact about that species. This came about when Dave007 and I were doing back and forth PM`S about the quaker species name. So if you want to know what that tidbit was about than check the other birds room and go to other bird honored list and check the quakers list. I will try and come up with a tidbit for each bird species in both the amazon room and other birds room honored list. Let me know if you like this idea. I think this could be fun and give you a chance to find out something about other parrots and other bird species.

Hi ilovemygrey and welcome to the grey forum. I think the first thing you should do is give him a chance to settle in to his new home with new people and new surroundings. As bad as his life might have been he now has to face something new and does not know what to expect. Give him the time he needs to feel better about what is going on with his life. Sit by his cage and talk to him or just sit there and be with him, give him a treat when you go by his cage so when he sees you coming he knows something good will happen. Remember a grey is very smart and they sometimes over thing about whats going on with their life.

You will hear the echo of Dave and Judys remarks over and over from members of this forum because they are right and they have given you great advice.

After living with Cricket for over 3 years the one thing that she does very well is come up with a surprise. She has been a very quiet zon as compared to Corky my CAG. Corky has been with us a long time so she is always out of her cage first and back last, but In the last month or two when Cricket can see corky out first she now gets very vocal untill she comes out and than she is her quiet self. Its like don`t forget me I want out too. She has become so much a part of the family, but she will show her self if a stranger comes near. However if she is on my shoulder and a stranger comes around she will show off and talk up a storm. Cricket is my very special little girl and she always shows me how strong our bond is with her actions and her sweet disposition. And to think when we first got her, I had a fear of amazons.

So far the Cockatiels have the most members on the other birds honored list at 12 members. Followed by Conures at 8 members. Total members on the other fids honored list is over 40 MEMBERS Great job !!

We have a member, CLB that has a small flock of exhibition American Serama, the smallest chicken in the world. I would have not known about this chicken, but CLB PMed me and I put them on the other birds honored list. Something new for me today.

If you are a member of this forum and share your home with species of fids other than a grey than check this out. If you share your home with a amazon than your zon needs to take it`s place on the list with all the honored amazons of the grey forum. If your are not on the list than PM me with youe zons name and species so they can take their proper place. Amazon Room, Thread, Honored Amazons. If you share your home with other fids other than a grey or amazon than check out the other birds room and make sure that your other fid takes it`s place with all the other fids honored list of the grey forum. Cage by Design also has cages for under $500.00 and I have one of those and I like it.

Hay Dee; In regards to the man that ran off with the nuts. It takes all kinds of people to make up this world and some times you have to deal with a nut like that. It`s not right but you and I and the members on this forum see thing in a different way than they do. What comes around goes around.

A grey is a grey and each one is different. I have a grey Croky CAG that has added people to her list of favorites. I beleve some of it is the way they are socialized when they are very young.

I feel so empty because there is nothing I can do to help bring Spock home. But I do pray.
