  1. I love watching them play. Looks like Emma was having a blast! Great video
  2. OK, it has been settled. I asked my family for their votes and Loki has won by 2 votes. I think it is a fitting name for a Grey since Loki is often referred to as the God of mischief and also the God of chaos (and many other things), which we all know Greys are good at LOL So, from here on out I will be calling my new lil Grey Loki.
  3. Thanks for the votes Seems like it is between Loki and Karma. I need a few more votes from people for the tie breaker though
  4. Florida here also and seen CAG's for about $850 and TAG's for about $650 Those are direct from the breeder prices. Usually add about 50% to those prices for stores
  5. Gotta love those foraging toys! BTW, you have a beautiful Grey.
  6. Fantastic video! Alfie is beautiful and looks very well loved and pampered.
  7. Ok guys, I have narrowed the possible list of names down and now need you guys to help me decide. Trying to go with a unisex sounding name since I don't know if my new lil guy is actually a guy or a gal. Just respond with your choice from the following names. Karma Bugsy Loki Thanks!
  8. AM is the best time to weigh. That way you get a consistent weight before they have eaten, etc. Frequency of weigh ins would depend on the age of your bird and what your looking for.
  9. I am new here, but here is my 2 cents worth..... I personally wouldn't go with a side by side cage option. Macaw beaks are large and you just never know what might happen to toes that are peaking through the bars, etc. I had the opportunity to foster a BG many years back. I wish I had adopted him and not just fostered him because I really grew to love that big goof ball. He bonded with me and regurged for me several times a day  I say that if your both comfortable with the idea, have the time and love to devote to adding another and are financially able, then go for it. BG's are fantastic, lovable fids!
  10. Finally figured out what palms I have on my property. I have a Queen palm and Foxtail palms. I have more palms on the island in the middle of the pond but haven't checked those ones out yet. I can't believe I have had a tasty treat for my birds this entire time and not known it
  11. LOL it's ok, I should have put spaces between the pictures to make it easier to know who is who. If your thinking of the mostly white one with the chicks, that is actually Snowball the Daddy Never mind... went back and looked. You are referring to pearl I think... Now I am confused too haha
  12. Here he is! His name was Brat. In this picture he was still a youngster, so he hadn't developed the mustache and neck ring yet.
  13. Male Indian ringnecks are beautiful with their mustache and neck ring. Ringnecks come in so many colors now. Mine are "normal" green but I have seen white, yellow and blue ones. The yellow ones are absolutely gorgeous. Let me track down a picture of a yellow one I had years ago and I will post it for you....
  14. We have Tiki & Snuggles (Green cheek conures), Ozzy & Pretty Boy (Cockatiels), Snowball & Pearl (Cockatiels), Romeo & Juliet (Indian Ringnecks) and of course my new lil baby Grey who I am yet to settle on a name for. Tiki (Chest was completely bare when I got him) Snuggles Ozzy Pretty Boy (14 yrs old and still healthy, strong and fertile) Snowball (Whiteface pied pearl male) Pearl (Whiteface pied female) Romeo Juliet
  15. Fantastic shots! Totally awe inspiring
  16. Ha! It's gonna be yours and you know it
  17. Yes, they are a beautiful mutation. Only problem is that a lot of times the males lose a lot of their pied markings when they get their 6 month molt
  18. Didn't even realize this site had this section, but since I stumbled into it I am going to go ahead and post. I am currently rearing 4 healthy and robust Cockatiel chicks that will be ready to go once fully weaned. They are currently 4 1/2 weeks old and on 3 feedings a day. 2 are normal Grey only $30 each and 2 are Grey Pied Pearl, which are absolutely beautiful and only $45 each. They are usually ready to go at about 7 weeks old. I don't ship. I like to meet my babies new parronts. Grey pied pearl shown I also have Whiteface and possibly Whiteface pied pearls hatching as we speak.
  19. Oh and..... I have some Tiel chicks hatching from a first time pairing. I can't wait to see what they mature like.
  20. Wow, BIG, HUGE congrats to him! The best part of my week was bringing home my new lil baby Grey
  21. I have three palm trees on my property but I have no clue what types they are. I do know that the two in my current pasture are surrounded by old nuts on the ground. I also have one that is in my front yard (used to be my old horse pasture). I remember one year seeing my horses reaching up and eating the nuts that were produced. My question is, are any type of palm nuts OK or are some potentially poisonous?
