Ive always wanted an African Grey for years. They just amaze me with how intelligent they are and good companions but as I lived In a smallish house I din't think It was fair to keep one.
I decided to get my little sun conure Louie instead. I love the affection birds give you and how funny silly they can be :laugh: I always knew one day I would get an African Grey and when we bought our bigger house I knew what was next on the list
I have the cage and loads of toys got already... haha Going to keep collecting more over the next few weeks so he'll have loads by the time he comes home... I dont get to see him that often as i live an hour and a half away.The lady text's me to let me know how he is getting on tho
I can handle bird poop... I already have louie who goes poop where ever he pleases and that is not a problem. Im just asking because It would be handy In some situations like when visiting someone elses house who might not like the idea of bird poop so much.:laugh:
It is not impossible to become unweaned. I was talking to my breeder who was telling me that someones cag flew away and wen it came back it was very hungry as it had went unfeed for a few days so she advised that the lady feed it fomula again for a day or two to build him up.. she told her twice a day but the lady done it 3 times a day and then ended up having to wean it down to two and so on all over again.
Please help!! :laugh:
Ill be picking my baby grey up in about 4-5 weeks and would love some help on a name B) I have pic of my baby at 6 weeks that I will post as soon as I get a chance...

Hi everyone,
{Feel-good-00020114}
Can anyone tell me whats the earliest a baby grey can be fully weaned or how many weeks does it usually take before they are fully weaned??? Im reading mostly about 12 weeks but can it be sooner?:unsure:
well my nan lives down the road from me and i used to live there until recently so theres where Louie (sun Conure) is at the moment so theres no prob if they dont get on I can keep him there as my aunt and nan are just as mad about him and i still see him every day... He is the funniest little thing... Not a afraid of anything!!!! :laugh: You couldn't scare him if you tried Lol
