  1. Excited for you! He looks gorgeous and happy to hear he is settling in a feeling safe enough to start eating.
  2. What no horse in the kitchen, I am disappointed. I love the hedgehogs remembering them being in our back garden when I was a little girl in England. I know there are not the same kind & I am familiar with them also. We share our home with cats as well & I think you will enjoy the adventure of living with a Grey.
  3. Nice to see them both and she does look like a tough girl.
  4. Harry Too with his Peanut butter- http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa264/Firefly_mom/DSC06003.jpg
  5. Glad things are going well after taking on a big challenge.
  6. Very kind of him, they should be safe even the growing sprout are eatable in salads, steamed lightly or stir fried. You are making great progress with Oliver, good on you!
  7. I can only imagine how scary & painful that was. My choice is to never have any of the parrots at face level. You always wonder what set them off knowing something did. Don't know what hurts more the bite or the broken trust. Hugs :>
  8. You can also use a larger item like the litter box to fill partway with Sand or shavings or shredded paper and let your bird see you " hide" some toys & treats in there.
  9. You can serve raw or cooked mashed chopped into different shapes or seasoned with a little Ginger, Cinnamon, red pepper flakes or a little Apple Cider Vinegar. It seems that different presentations appeal to different birds. Keep trying-you can also add to an omelet or birdy bread or a warm mash of cooked grains of your choice.
  10. Can you describe the location of her cage please and let us know how many hour she sleeps? They do need to feel safe and secure at night.
  11. Love hearing about his new game, that is progress. How is his eye this morning?
  12. My Greys often bump their faces and eyes when playing hard, perhaps that is what he did.
  13. I use Sproutpeople very successfully and they are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any nutrition questions.
  14. Welcome to our flock Sarah & Archie. Would love to hear his story of how he came to you and of course we all love those pictures of your handsome fellow.
  15. He looks happy and active-all good. Pouring rain down here also lots of wind just South of Houston.
  16. You may not use the seed guards I find they are very hard on the shins and difficult to avoid. These clever birds will get food on the floor with or with out the seed guards.
  17. A little personal time for you both, sweet. I would suggest making it not an every night ritual or he may start demanding that moment together .
  18. All good things on this update, wonderful to hear how your relationship is progressing.
  19. More cage time, earlier longer sleep time in the dark and lots more stuff to shred and take apart until the spring crazies pass in order to keep them all safe.
  20. the food values of sprouted seed and grains is very different than the dry form. You can select exactly what you want to sprout if you have any doubts about any items by purchasing separately.
  21. Welcome among us, I also live with cats (rescued) dogs (rescued) and lour Grey flock (mostly rescues), 2 Parakeets, 5 Cockatiels and 2 Too's. Kind of a loud busy household, so you are among the like minded here.
