You can add a non ionic air cleaner to the far side of the cage away from Stewart. That should suck the dust away from him. Considering relocating the cage where they could see each other might be a thought and no matter what they can still hear each other.

We cover our cages as they seem to sleep better not so grumpy in the mornings. I would like to see your birds in separate rooms as the Macaws have large open nostrils and they can suck in too much Grey dust causing them breathing issues down the road.

You mentioned this begins after 8 o clock, suggest he be returned to his cage or removed from the floor prior to that time. Avoiding the bite so as not to reinforce that behavior is the best I can offer.

It sounds like the shower water entered his crop through those beak gaps, he should pass the extra water in his droppings making them quite watery. Suggest no more showers for fear of over hydrating him so just use a spray mister on fine mist to fall over his body or offer a shallow pan to him for bathing. If the condition persists longer than an hour or you observe any breathing difficulty please call your Vet.

Definitely go for the tests-I had it and had no symptoms at all until I was completely blocked and deathly ill. Surgery & many months of chemo but no radiation, gut is 13 inches shorter but I am doing fine now 8 years later. So hang in there the chemo is misery but I kept my hair. Don't beat yourself up, he did need those calories at the time. Like kids and some among us we all want the goodies even when we know better shy should he be any different. It is all just a part of how they make us use our brains for problem solving keeping us smarter and on our toes.

Will start with letting you know I am so glad you and Bravo have developed a good relationship, that is "Greyt". Now there is no guarantee that Bravo and any new bird will ever be friends, even if they are it is still not a good idea to have two Greys share a cage anyway unless it is a bonded pair and the cage is large enough that they can get away from each other if there is a dispute (talking several feet by several feet). Better to avoid a major injury than to live with the results. Separate caging so they can each have their own space is always best. Remember our birds have very few choices in how we keep them or who they get to live with or who they share attention with. We have multiple birds but all of them except the Cockatiels and Parakeets have their own cages. Some we can allow out time together with minimal negative results and some can only have individual out of cage time due to aggression with the rest of the flock. Safety first!

Please offer some fresh or cooked veggies and a little fresh fruit as well. It would benefit him so much to eat where he can see you eating some of the same foods. Patience, patience, patience is the way to go whiel you show him that nothing bad or threatening will happen in his new home. You will see progress it will be slow but as his confidence grows his personality will bloom, all that patience and time will start paying off.

It does make my heart happy too, good progress. They teach us the true value of trust.

Looking great, you can also grow a vine or two over a side for sun screening. Climbing roses, Squash, Runner beans, Honeysuckle ect.
