Same question, have you contacted the police?
-
Your lucky, you can spray Mesquite with Vinegar and leave it in the sun...Thanks Jayd
-
Please let us know how things are, we really care. Always know, good or bad, our prayers are always with you.......

Yes, a parrot [the size of a medium Grey] can have up to 3 tbs of striped [not black oil] sunflower seeds [in shell] a day! As far as peanuts in the shell goes, I just won't give them no matter where they come from.[this is only my opinion]. Thanks Jayd
-
As I'm sure your all aware of, any would not be harvested near a street or city road nor anywhere near where crop-dusting has been done. The same goes for back yard, where pesticides a bug spray has been used, fallen wood could have been urinated or defecated on. Use it but be vigilant...Jayd
-
Bravo, that is the right thing to do.....Thanks Jayd, Maggie, Spock and the flock.....
-
Some times when your not in the room, you can hear you fid making little sounds, what they're doing is sounding out the sounds of new words and sentences, practicing......Jayd
-
The only safe bark I can find so far is "Cork Oak" yet the flower and leaves are poison... Thanks Jayd http://www.crcamp.com/birds/woods.htm

Keep working on the nuts. It's not the best to feed peanuts in the shell to parrots, they can have a, mold that can harm or kill them, get a souffle cup [2oz] and put a piece of walnut or almond in it and squeeze it into a ball, it's a greyt forrage toy and a good way to give a treat...Thanks Jayd
-
Just wait, his flying will amaze you... Work on his "Flying down", put him on the top of a open door and sit on the floor 10 or so feet away, have a treat and call to him, keep doing this till he learns to "fly down", it's hard. Thanks Jayd
-
Mira, your doing Greyt. Just keep doing it, keep feeding the Greens like Judy and the others have said, and deon't foeget the fresh air and sun. Were all here for you...Jayd

You have to do what you feel is right, but keep an open mind to learning new things, we all learn from experience, this experience we try to pass on, and we all hope it for the best. Please keep us all inform on your new life...Jayd Thank you.

A grey continues to go to about 1 year old. Question? What is her morning weight, after her big bomb? Thanks Jayd
-
Nuts are Greyt finger food for parrots. They can have 1/2 walnut, 1 almond, a couple of pistachio a day. The more active your fid is, the more (up to a point) nuts they can have. They are loaded with EFA (essential fatty acids). We will talk more about them later. Thanks, Jayd

Dayo is approaching "Alex" status. All Dan and Dayo need is more time, and it will happen... Jayd

Thank you Doug, Your opinion is valuable and I appreciate it very much. Only you can choose what is true and what isn't, this I respect in you and every one on this forum. If an when I know something is right or wrong, I will continue to express my belief with research to back what I say, as I personally hope you and everyone on this forum will continue to do. When it comes to someone stating facts that can mislead and cause possiably cause hurt to the "Fid's of the Forum" I 'll do what ever is necessary to correct this. Doug, it is your right, on this forum to feel about me any way you wish, just as it is for all the Great members..... Thank you so much, please ignore any or all of my post and threads that you wish, but remember, your welcome to comment and give any opinion you might have, as I do. As far as Dave007 goes, no one can touch him and his knowledge. Sincerely Jayd

I feel the subject of "Wing Clipping" has been expressed by both sides equally. It's to the point that it's no-longer a discussion, or a sharing of opinions. What each members feelings are is all that matters, go with your feelings. Please consider all aspects of this issue. As far as I'm concerned I feel this subject is closed. I will no longer post to this thread on wing clipping. To all the Greyt members, Thank You Jayd

I quit using "Kaytee" over four years ago!!!!!Same reason I like "ZuPreem Embrace" formula...it has higher protein for Greys etc.

[quote=Mistyparrot; Aerial makes a good point about ceiling fans. I have heard some horrific stories of spooked parrots clipped or not flying it to them. If you have to have a fan then switch it off if your bird is out. Steve N Misty Please read this as long as you have a parrot and a ceiling fan.....Thanks Steve....Jayd

The most wonderful thing about the Grey Forum is we have a medium to learn from. Each and every post is important as any other, and we must be sure to be open and to listen, not just go on something that sounds good. If we question a reply, then re-ask and research. Some questions only have one safe answer, they can not be changed even if we don't like the answer. Others are open for our personal beliefs, and we should "voice or option". We must remember, just because it worked or hasn't been bad doesn't mean it isn't true, heed the words other members post. This is a GREYT group of Parron'ts, as Spock would say:"Live long and Prosper"... Thanks Jayd

I hope Bird has big plans for you today..We luv ya, Salsa, Jayd, Maggie, Joe and the flock...

It is never too late!!!!!, I'm no vet, we've had/have other members from the same area, they all say the same thing!!1 Ok, it sounds like "Calcium deficiency", get a Calcium supplement, if it's for humans, give him 1/6 the human dose!!!!start feeding Green leafie veggies, kale, etc, also carrots...Gt a cuttle bone and put in the cage, lots of direct sunlight, with shad when he needs it, If you can get "Hagen Prime" give it to him. Did the vet do a CBC? I'm sure he needs D3, A Grey absorbs d3 from the sun, very little from food, also give him some plain low=fat yogurt!!! Jayd

Unfortunately bacteria and disease can still exist..Birds, as humans, can also be carriers.... Thanks Jayd
