  9. All that's been said is true, Green cheeks in general are the quietest of the conures. Two of ours are mated, they were hand-raised, then for two years they sat in a pet store till we got them, their still nippy, but will let you return them to their cage. They've hatch 2 clutches for us, it's funny, Green-cheeks do not have to be hand raised, when weened, the male/father, throws them out of the the nest, at that time you remove them and start raising them , they look to you as their new flock...so even after they've been away form being held, there's still a chance to bond with a pair of them' They are good eaters, loving veggies and fruit, and small conure/ cockatiel pellets. As compared to our Suns and Mitered conures their as about as loud as a cockatiel...
  10. They remodeled our petsmart also, we have 1/2 of a 1/2 row for birdie's....Here's the link to instructions.... http://zoomed.com/Library//ProductDBFiles/aviansun.pdf

  17. A Grey never forgets,,, when you bring them together, just don't let them interact as much with each other, let them coexist....Keep a eye open for undesired behavior..After they bond with each of you, things will calm down.....Jayd
  18. I hope others will add their two cents to this post, it 's a good one, thank you. When we raise babies,to 16 plus weeks old, we have to be careful about bonding with them, this is hard, you love each one of them, but you don't want them to love you to much in return, so it will be easier for them to move on to new life family's. As siblings they teach each other, and part of their training is playing, feeding and socializing with each other, and you can tell, at a certain point they start bonding with each other, at this time you serparate them, and you have to spend less time with them, hopping that soon they'll move on to their new home...It's hard.. This point might be close for your 2 babies, from what you say. If the 2 bond with each other, they'll bond less and less with you, [99% of the time] If separated for a longer length of time, they'll be able to bond with the 2 of you, and be part of the flock with each other....Jayd
  19. All your doing is Grey't, Your a wonderful mom, it shows, we hear it when you write, it's loud and clear....You are like everyone here, a caring and wonderful mom..[or Papa]..Pretty soon you'll be asking," How do I stop TUI from doing This!!" LOL.....Jayd

    Flying

Most of all our rescues have had a hard time learning how to slow forward flight and land, they always crash and skid...The only thing we found out we could do is to pad the spots they usually come to rest at, we have pillows everywhere....It's sad, but they don't learn this quick, just protect them as best as you can...Be careful when trying to catch a bird in flight...Jayd
