  1. The cold weather has arrived and Argyle LOVES his cozy warm pouch ;-) Beau hasn't been in his yet (as far as I'm aware) but give him time...
  2. We are just the other side of the Cornish border, although unlikely he has got this far I will be on the lookout. Hope the poor grey is found soon.
  3. Welcome to the forum both of you. Dimigrey, that's two fine looking greys you have there.
  4. Hi Rhonnie and welcome to the forum. There must be treats your grey likes surely??? pine nuts, palm nuts, grapes, biscuit etc. anything your grey prefers above all else?
  5. A Tiffany ring? Sounds good to me Bernie ;-)
  6. I'm sorry to hear of your baby's accident. I'm sure if you are worried about calming your grey a phone call to your vet for further advice should be enough. Good luck with trying to keep him calm.
  7. Lol, no crap in the OJ - I wouldn't have let him drink it if that had been the case. :-)
  8. I mean really! Not content with crappin' on my shoulder, a certain someone took a fancy to my fresh orange juice.
  9. I so understand where you are coming from. When we bought Beau we had planned on getting a grey but not for a few weeks and we were actually looking at cages but Beau was so different to all the greys I had previously seen, it was like fate that we found each other. I put a deposit down right away and they kept him for us until we got back from a week away which had been previously planned. I remember wishing we hadn't booked that damned holiday and counted down the days each morning while we were away. Beau is unclipped but I understand that clipping is the best thing for you at this time. I'm sure you will have one or two sleepless nights when the time gets near for you to bring your little baby home. I'm so happy for you.
  10. He couldn't stay mad at you for long could he Pat. They have their own little personalities bless 'em. B)
  11. That's a beautiful grey you have there and a nice big cage. Enjoy your baby, they aren't like that for long.
  12. Great to see your two Sheila.
  13. Awww happy anniversary Tyco, I'm quite sure she's been spoiled rotton today - just like everyday actually.
  14. Oh dear part3 was really tough watching. Very sad, the way they are handled, bundled into boxes and only half make it to shipping destination... Surely breeders have enough birds to breed from, can't they save from their chicks for next generation breeding?
  15. Ok, I had a couple of requests for a pic of Argyle sleeping with his head in his bell so I crept up on him, camera in hand. I'm not sure if he was asleep properly but I was afraid if I got any nearer he'd emerge from his bell ;-)
  16. This is really quite sad that this little guy has been sold to someone inexperienced such as yourself Janica, greed seems to have been the order of the day here. he has been taken away from not only his parents but also his clutch mates. I hope you eventually manage to wean him with Dave's help. I wish you luck with this very important task. Please do keep us informed of your progress. Karma to you for being brave enough to take this on.
  17. Part 2 is really quite a sad video but very informative. Are there more parts?
  18. Thanks for than Dan, I'll take a look later, multi tasking atm lol.
  19. Have you wondered if they are humouring you Jill? {Feel-good-0002006E}
  20. I have been trying to get Beau a java perch as they are natural and come in the most wonderful shapes and sizes but unfortunately everywhere I've looked are out of stock atm so I went on ebay and found this seller who sells natural perches at a fraction of the cost. I bought one each for my fids and it cost under £10 including postage. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REAL-NATURAL-WOOD-BIRD-PERCH-FOR-CAGE-FOR-PARAKEET_W0QQitemZ190338824564QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Birds?hash=item2c5113f974&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 This one is the smaller one I got for my hahns. He does straight perches as well as the y-shaped ones, they are thicker than they look and they arrived the next day - bargain! Thought you guys might be interested.
