I think it can vary from grey to grey. Emma is very outgoing, gentle and friendly to practically everyone except very young, quick moving and loud children. Early and regular socialization does help though.

Can't really remember, but Emma can carry on monologues for 30 minutes at a time on occasion.

I wear ear protector earmuffs to protect my hearing from the random ear piercing flock calls that go on between my two parrots. This way they can scream when they feel they need to and I am saved from cringing and being irritated with the noise.

Thanks Dave. It really was a trusty and efficient camera. It also made alot of youtube watchers very happy. In case you are all wondering about the details of its demise. I was fiddling around with my camera while standing over the aforementioned bucket. Emma zoomed in to land on top of me and startled me . I didn't hear her wings flapping from behind because I had my ear muffs on.

Here's the last video taken prior to my camera drowning in a bucket filled with water, oxyfresh gele and poopied parrot toys. Not sure when I will be purchasing a new one. It'll have to wait till I have done enough research to buy the right one. I do like Canon so I'm sure I'll be sticking to that brand. My favourite part is when she says.. This isn't the first time I hear about a parrot being attracted to the seal on the fridge. If I were in your situation, I would probably place something up there that he was frightened of to deter him. I hope you are able to find something that he finds alot more interesting than the fridge and the blinds. On my end .. Emma tends to get herself into alot of forbidden spots when she feels that my full attention isn't on her. Hope that helps.

Hahahahaha!! No Dan. No squeaky dog toy. Instead I have a gorgeous pionus parrot named Sachi who makes these apparent "hormonal" sounds every so often. It's her one sound that irritates the heck out of me and Emma likes to imitate it in HD and surround sound. So there you go.

Truly impressive to watch... Parrots are SO intelligent!!

In that case, keep doing all of the wonderful things that you are already doing. I guess this is what being a parront is about. There are times when I can't do what I need to do and look keep an eye on Emma either. She's a wonderful companion parrot but has her days where she is quite a handful. During those moments, I insist that Emma stays in her cage for her own good.. no ifs about it. I let her out once I can keep a better eye on her.

She's very yakkity after her shower..
