How do your birds handle the cold? I am in Florida and the last couple of days have been so cold, its only 35-40*F at night but its reallllyyy cold to us! I went to turn the heater on for the first time in YEARS the other day and it doesn't work! So I have been worried about my poor Ecko getting too cold. I've been turning the blow dryer on for a couple minutes so he can warm up.. what do you guys do?

It kinda makes me really upset that you are giving up on your baby already!! I know you haven't had him that long if he is only 19 weeks old!! It takes ALOT of time and patience to care for a grey especially if it has a plucking problem. Giving him away to a rescue is only going to make it worse but if you can't handle it and aren't willing to help this poor baby than I guess thats the only thing you can do!!

Have you taken your baby to the vet yet? If not, I highly recommend you take him to an avian vet and get blood tests done to see if he is sick! Your baby is so young to start plucking!
