Heres a video of Ecko getting mad at the camera. Notice he starts bobbing his head, it looks like he is regurgitating but its not really regurgitation, just bobbing. Why do you think he does this? He does it a lot too, when hes mad or happy or just playing around he bobs his head like that. P.S. Ignore my baby talk lol I always talk like that to him.

The only way to tell the sex of your bird is by DNA testing not by assuming its a girl because its attached to a guy, that assumption is totally false. Greys can be moody and don't want to be bothered at times, you just have to give him/her space when he/she acts like that. I hope you didn't buy a grey just for the talking because it is not a guarantee that all greys talk. Your baby is still young so you shouldn't expect it to talk right now anyways.

First off how long have you had Rockey for? It not unusual for a bird to be attached to only one person in the family, greys tend to be one person birds. Second off tell you wife not to panic! Greys can sense panic and that will make it worse. Did he bite your wife? You should have your wife give him his space, patience is the key my friend, NOT selling the poor bird!!

Thanks Hannah I actually didn't know that about quakers being prone to fatty liver disease. Too bad though because he's been eating ONLY seeds his whole life. We give him a pellets mixed in with his seeds but he only eats the seeds, will keep trying new things though. Yes he is in quarantine but he is staying at my moms house because I live in a small apartment and couldn't have another animal so Ecko hasn't met him yet.

You know I was just thinking the same thing when I saw that video too. I heard their accents and I was like I wonder if their bird is going to talk like that. LOL Thanks Hannah for confirming it, they really do talk in accents, thats too cute! HAHA and that video of Lulu is hilarious.. "Your not funny!" LOL!

I keep coming back because I love this forum! I love learning about greys and I love sharing my pictures and experiences with other grey lovers. This is a place where I can come and brag about my grey and not feel weird about it. None of my friends understand the love you can have for a bird, none of my friends really understand birds at all. They are amazing creatures that deserve tons of love and respect. I've learned so much from this forum and I've met so many great people on here who are as passionate about their greys as I am about mine. P.S. This is a great thread! Thanks Jess for starting it!!

Hahaha awww that is soo cute! Ecko does the same thing to me when I have nail polish on my toes except my doesn't nip at them he bites the crap out of them LOL! Thanks for sharing with us.

You can't see the pics? Its kind of hard to get good pictures of Sport because he is very mean and tries to attack me when I open the cage. I will try to get more pics sometime soon. But he is doing pretty good, he started talking in his cute little voice. He said peak-a-boo, what ya doing, hi baby, kiss kiss, and a couple more things. He will not touch his fruits and veggies, won't even go near the bowl, he might be scared of it because he's probably never seen those kind of foods before. So we will keep trying.
