1. Thats great that Zazu is doing so well. Aww so you have a little Timneh, I love the pics of him. There really isn't a big difference between the Congo and Timneh except for the size and the beak and tail colors. They also mature faster than Congos.
2. Hello Hanlie, welcome to the forum! Assegaai is a cool name, I hope to see some pics of him soon. Does he talk or make any cool mimics? I look forward to hearing more about you and Assegaai. Enjoy the site.
3. AWWWW! Look how precious your baby is Bonnie!! Soooo cute thanks for sharing. B)
4. Oh dear! How do they not know what an african grey is?! Are they a certified avain vet? I would look for another vet if I were you. But the breathing problems could be a huge sign of illness, I would get to one ASAP. Please let us know what happens.
5. Haha oh dear Hannah, I'm glad your dog found him. They are so silly and love to give us a big scare.
6. Awww I think Akima is a great name for your baby. Are you going to DNA him/her anyways? Like Pat said their weight ranges from around 400 to around 550 grams, it all depends on their bone structure. All babies learn at a different pace also, the average age to learn how to perch is 7-9 weeks old. The average age to learn how to fly is 10-12 weeks old. And the average age to wean is 14-18 weeks old. Also I would keep the cage in a room where people are always around. Don't be in such a rush for your baby to grow up though, they are only babies once and once they are all grown up you are going to want him to be little again, LOL! I know you are soo excited to bring him/her home, I know the feeling I waited forever too but it was so worth the wait. Thats great that you get to visit your baby a lot. Good luck Bonnie

Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/06/29 16:21
7. No problem, we love to help! Don't hesitate to ask anymore questions. Awww what a cute picture of Sunny. I'm glad she is doing good. Thanks for the update, make sure to come back and give more updates on her.
8. What a pretty baby. My mom had 2 ringnecks before and they were sooooo mean. The first one she got was in need of a home and she took him in to foster him so she could find him a home, his name was Buddy and he attacked everyone that came close to him. She found him a good home with a lady that lost hers, I hope he doesn't attack her like he did us. The second one was named Woodi, and she was terrified of people. She hated to come out of her cage but she loved to play on it. She would hide under blankets and sleep in her sleepy hut. A lady heard that we were fostering her and she took her and gave her a good home. Their bites definitely hurt really bad so I hope Raja gets through this hormonal stage quick for the sake of your fingers lol.
9. Congrats on your new grandson Janet!! I will pray that everything goes well.
10. No the photos didn't post, why don't you try uploading them onto www.photobucket.com and resizing them there and then pasting the IMG code onto here. I would love to see your toys.
11. LOL, I can get under his wings only if I lift them up. I should teach him to lift his wings by himself, that would be easier. I'm glad you liked the picture.
12. haha yea I know the simpliest things will entertain them after all the money we spend on toys lol.
13. Hello, welcome to the forum! Good luck on your search for your grey. I look forward to hearing more about you and your future grey.
14. Haha yea. He actually doesn't bother it when there is fruit in it.
15. After getting the idea from Danmcq(thanks ), I took Ecko's cage outside to clean it and I kept him inside the cage so he can get a bath too. Two jobs done in one! I scrubbed it with water and vinegar and hosed it down then I misted the water on Ecko and he was enjoying it. He was giving kisses and whistling while I cleaned. He also liked listening to all the wild birds and I think he felt safe being in his cage. I think it is very important for people to clean the cages and give their birds a bath, so thats why I'm posting this. I took all the toys out because I didn't want the dye from the colorful blocks to get all over Ecko.

Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/06/29 03:23

18. Hahaha aww what a great video. Spock sure loves to be on his back.
19. Hi Raheema, it was nice meeting you in the chat box. I'm glad you made a post. I think Leia is uncomfortable in the box so thats why she won't go in it. You should try put down newspaper in a certain spot to go and just say go potty to her. When you see her start to wiggle her but pick her up and bring her to that spot of newspaper. When she goes say go potty and praise her for going. Like I said it takes A LOT of time and practice with her. She is young but its a good age to start teaching her things. Good luck with the potty training. I hope to hear more from you on the forum about Leia and post updates and pictures of her. You can actually post the pics right here in this post.

Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/06/28 21:45

23. Hi Jennifer, welcome to the forum! Congrats on finding your new baby! I bet you are soo excited to bring him/her home! It's going to seem like forever until you can take your baby home but the wait is so worth it. Have you thought of any names yet? I look forward to hearing more about you and your new grey. Can't wait to see those pictures too.
24. OMG are you serious? Did it blow? this is my biggest fear with my 50" plasma TV, Ecko lands on it a lot and that is a big no no!! We try to get him off as fast as we can so he doesn't poop on it since there is holes in the back of it but I'm scared one day we won't be able to get to him fast enough. Oh dear I am sorry to hear about this! Luckily he hasn't broken anything too expensive YET, but for some reason he is drawn to my iPhone, my Macbook, and my boyfriends PS3! Everytime he sees those things he goes after it and gets so mad when I take them away from him.
25. Me(Caitlin) and Ecko again. He loves my glasses lol

Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/06/28 17:51
