1. Welcome swan! What is your name? I'd love to see pics of your conure and cockatiel! How long have you had them? Have you ever though of getting a grey?
2. That looks great! Our grey loves to chew on knots, so I'm sure she'd do all that she could to chew through one of those knots in order to break the net! Make sure you post the finished product! Thanks for sharing.
3. Hi mrraju! What is your name and where are you from? Glad you could join us on the forum and welcome!
4. I just looked at Cookie's picture on Flickr and he looks beautiful! Great job, Mary Jo! B)
5. The new and improved tabletop stand. We used 100% all natural jute rope that is biodegradable. You can also see the new box of LEGOS we bought her! She loves them. I might post more pics of her enjoying the LEGOS in the photography room.

Post edited by: Goralka08, at: 2009/01/01 22:58
6. Hi Mary Jo and welcome! Personally, I wouldn't see the need to clip his wings, but others here have more experience with that stuff that I do. Is he getting hurt when he is trying to fly? Bad crash landings? Make a lists of pros and cons of clipping its wings so that you can look at the whole picture. A flighted bird can burn off more calories and get the much needed exercise indoors.
7. With a tear rolling down my cheek...I'm truly sorry that you all had to go through such a horrible experience. It's better that he is now relieved of his suffering. Poor little guy. May Shadow fly free forever! I agree with Talon. You need to get this person reported to local animal societies. Even though they've changed their phone number and pulled the ads, you still remember where they live right?! So you need to help the other birds that could be in there, and to help ensure that nobody else purchases a bird from these people. The birds that are in there need to be confiscated and to have their environments looked at closer. I hope they tear down her breeding facility!
8. Welcome Tammy! It sounds like you have a wonderful flock and I bet you're super excited for your baby CAG! We want PICTURES  ASAP! There are some great people here that have tons of experience with baby greys, so there is always a helping hand if ya need it. Look forward to hearing more from you.
9. Happy hatch day! Where is the birdie bread cake?!
10. Just finished version 1.0 and will start the 2nd version later today. Thanks for posting this because I'm going to share it with my dad, and hopefully it will spark his imagination! lol
11. We know it's too slippery lol. My dad bought jute rope to wrap tightly around it today. We thought about vet wrap, too, but dad wanted to use rope instead.
12. Jan, that video is too funny! I just cracked up when the dogs were play fighting on the floor and the bird goes, "They're bad!" hahahaha
13. Yay Tango! I'm discovering Kenzie's likes and dislikes, too. I found that when I offered her fresh broccoli or cauliflower, she'd just toss them to the floor. Today I boiled them and then let them cool...offered her some and she actually ate them! So I guess she prefers her veggies soft. She loved some baked squash, too. So have you tried different food preparations? Maybe see if he likes fruits pureed or veggies steamed? I know it's a pain to prep all the food, but anything that will help our greys get their vitamins is well worth it.
14. Santa (my dad!) stopped by the local hardware store and made a new little PVC tabletop stand for McKenzie as one of her Christmas presents. She seemed to enjoy it!
15. Dan, I pray that all the tests come back normal in the coming days. I hope that you, Kim, and the rest of the flock have a wonderful new year filled with laughter, love, good health, and happiness!
16. We have a 6 year old rescued greyhound, 6 year old shar-pei mix, 2 canaries, and our grey. One time I had Kenzie (our TAG) on my arm and she was listening to the music of the canaries in the other room. So I took her in there because the canaries were in their cages and Kenzie can't fly very well. Before I knew it, she latched onto one of their cages! Luckily they were smart enough to stay close to the bottom. Kenzie was in the strangest trance and just getting her off of the cage was difficult because she wouldn't even listen to "step up!" She'd kill them if out together, so that's never gonna happen. The dogs don't pay any attention to our grey. Even if she is out playing on the cage door, the dogs will walk right past her and not pay any attention to her. However, we don't let either of them get close enough because we don't want to take any chances...especially since we rescued a dog that was trained to chase things so she'd run faster! I hope one day to get a Quaker Parrot, and HOPEFULLY they will get along in the future.
17. Happy hatch day Zeus! Or as they say in Poland, "STO LAT!" which means "100 years!"
18. Sarge is definitely a handsome fella! Thanks for posting these pics for us.
19. Awe! I love the name Astro for your new conure, as it seems to fit perfectly. Congrats on your new flock member!
20. Welcome Adhaincroi! I'm very happy to hear that you made a sincere attempt to find this bird's owner. Looks like he/she is yours now! What a lucky person you are. Look forward to hearing more about Roswell!
21. That is so beautifully written that it definitely touches my soul. This is one to save for the scrapbook. Thanks for sharing.
22. Yay! We can see the picture. Good job and a beautiful bird you have there!
