Great info, Penny. Although Kenzie has never had lactose-free products, we do occasionally have the soy milk products in the house. So this is a good informative article. We've given her small amounts of cheese, which she REALLY likes, and I never noticed her droppings change after consumption.

Dan, So sorry to hear about your sad Kim & Dayo. No liquids for 8 days must be really tough...and I feel her pain. Probably not a birthday she wants to remember. It doesn't make sense that she can't drink liquids when they want something to pass. I guess they don't want liquids to interfere with anesthesia if she needs emergency surgery, right? Or I wonder why they didn't try charcoal. That stuff REALLY clears ya out fast. Hmmm. At any rate...I really hope she gets to come home soon and enjoyed a belated birthday with the flock. Also, that she gets a big juicy meal!

Caroline, I keep forgetting that everyone except the U.S. is using the metric system! Saturday night here in Michigan is supposed to be -11C. I hope your heat gets fixed soon! That's horrible for it to go out when it's this cold outside! We had that happen a couple years ago (before we had our grey) and we would have to start the oven and all the burners (gas stove) to keep warm! I'd be worried about your fids, too, because it's much easier to bundle up a child than your greys. lol

I am superstitious when it comes to certain things. I have a lucky number and that is 8. For sports I would always have to do things in a certain order. I don't have any superstitions when it comes to Friday the 13th, though. To me it's just another day.

Can you try saving your video into a program called windows movie maker and then upload it? I've found that when a video takes long to upload on youtube, then it's the format that it's not liking. If you have it in the right format, then it will take 5 minutes or less with DSL. If you're using QT (quick time) then save it as .mov and you should be fine.

I'm currently drinking some Alkaseltzer Nighttime. My lil' cold turned into infection and I was on Levaquin and now a Z-pack. With all the meds, I'm starting to feel better.
