  1. Send her to your hairstylist to dye her feathers red, green and blue. LOL!
  2. The size of the cage is the same as the one that I use to house my Grey. My Grey's travel cage is much smaller than that.
  3. Those were common mynahs. Can't let Mocha free flight like them. He will fly away for good.
  4. You are wearing it correctly. Congrats.
  5. My grey has never gone into the cage by herself. I have to "manually" put her in all the time. She is out most of the time when we are in. When she gets naughty, she has to be in whether she likes it or not. So far this has never damaged our relationship. IMO she must have certain time in the cage otherwise she will turn into a spoiled brat.
  6. After some photo shootings at the playground, Cocoa had another session in my office later in the morning.
  7. Some pics taken a moment ago.
  8. Pics of Mocha bathing taken this morning.
  9. LOL!!!!! Too bad, today is not April Fool's day.
  10. That is a great chin up exercise.
  11. Sure, you are welcomed. : )
  12. Not far away from my house, there are these groups of people who come regularly to feed the the wild monkeys. This daily affair makes the wild monkeys so use to humans. Cocoa was there too. The monkeys were curious and were staring at Cocoa. They followed me around even though I did not have food for them. They were interested in Cocoa. After awhile they left us.
  13. I managed to get my daughter up early this morning. I need her to video Cocoa's flights at a different angle. Most of the time I work alone. One hand holding the camera while the other with Cocoa perching on. The line got tangled to a bunch of grass on the ground. That's why Cocoa struggled to perch on the bar. 170-foot flight.
  14. This is Cocoa's longest flight, estimated at 150ft. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r04kHTIvWpI
  15. I have once seen an eagle with its foot attached to a leash at a resort. I wasn't paying attention to it because at that time I did not have a parrot yet. Sorry, I won't be able to help. As you see in this pic. http://www.pbs.org/falconer/falcons/index.htm the feet are attached with a bracket. Birds of prey have powerful leg. I don't think it is suitable for a parrot Why don't you make one like Shanlung's harness? His harness is more durable than Aviator's. Cocoa still chews on her harness till today. She has already damaged 2. It seems like she prefers the new one. The older ones has Aviator word printed on it. The new one is without the word and the material is different.
  16. This is how I made my line. The fork like metal piece is from the Aviator Flightline or you could use something similar. I bought the thinnest rope that I could find at the hardware store. I attached the line to the harness using an O ring. The rope is quite a slippery type. I used super glue on the knots to hold them permanently. The fork like metal is embedded in the ground. This way I could get a double distant for Cocoa to fly.
  17. Thanks guys. I am a lot better now except for my nagging cough. Sunnybird, I make my own extension line. She landed on the monkey bars. That's her landing platform. I don't have an assistant like Shanlung to do recall exercises. The monkey bar is the only place she will fly to. Cocoa has not been flying outdoor so often for the past 3 weeks. She will be getting more flying exercises soon. : )
  18. I have not been shooting any vids nor pics lately. I was down with fever then cough and flu. Cocoa has not been out too often lately. Cocoa managed 4 outdoor flights yesterday. They were all short distant. This morning, I stretched the rope to the max to make the longest flight to be flown by Cocoa. Halfway, she changed her mind and came back to me. Not sure what happened. She made it in the 2nd attempt. This is her record outdoor flight.
  19. Mocha is a talker. He learns fast. Cocoa is not really a good talker. She prefers to do sounds.
