  1. Tayjo, did you change your hairstyle or start wearing something that your grey might not like. A change of shampoo or lipstick, anything that might be different. Is your doberman normally with you all the time, by your side perhaps. Your grey might still be leery of your dog. These are just some thoughts. I hope things get better. By the way, what is your grey's name? If you have any pictures you would like to share, we would love to see them.
  2. edillon, I'm glad you were able to quickly straighten out the picture mixed. Your CAG is a very handsome grey. How are you coming with names? Are you having your grey DNA tested? I personally think waiting to see your grey's personality helps for names to almost instantly pop into your head. Thanks for sharing pictures of your baby with us.
  3. Hi Tonino, so glad you decided to join the family. Sounds like Gloria has found a loving home. Please post some pictures of Gloria if you have any you would like to share, we do so love pictures. Karma to you for re-homing Gloria. Can't wait to hear more about her.
  4. Jan, you have a lovely home and a great solution to your problem. Thanks for sharing this with us. Tobie is a handsome and lucky fellow.

  7. Lisa, great list. Karma to you for putting it together for us.
  8. Hey Bruce saw you new post and went to check it out. I really enjoyed going through the pictures on this thread. Alaska is a beautiful State--to visit!! Too cold for me but oh so beautiful and the air is so fresh. I went fishing there several years ago, only female on the boat and with a three year old!!! The men were a little cross until I caught the most fish and my three year grandson charmed them all. It was the most fun trip. Glad you came back to the fold. Can't wait to hear some tales about your grey and cockatoo.
  9. Dan and Kim, goods thoughts and heartfelt prayers to you both.
  10. Hi Melissa, glad you decided to join the family. As a veteran Grey owner you must have some great stories to share and will certainly be a great addition to our forum with your years of experience. Did you get Harley as a baby? We would love to see some pictures of Harley and the rest of your flock if you have any you would like to share. Welcome to the family!!!
  11. Hi Terrie and welcome to the family. Casper is a great looking CAG. I'm a new grey owner so you have much more experience as a grey owner than I have! I can provide you with a site where you can get information about sexing your grey. I believe it is less expensive than what a vet would charge. http://www.avianbiotech.com/Index.htm Can't wait to hear more about Casper.
  12. You are doing everything you can to get this precious grey home. Whatever happens, you know you have done everything you can to do the right thing. Bless you and Roswell.
  13. My Bucket List: Visit Ireland; visit Greece and the Greek Isles; visit Egypt and the Pyramids; visit the Holy Lands/Promise Land; and return Home to my Father and hug my daddy and mama once more.
  14. You are a very special person and Roswell is lucky to have found you. I wish you good fortunate on finding Roswell's owner because he sounds like he was very loved and cared for.
  15. Hello Shahmeer, welcome to the family. How long have you had Tiger? You have come to the right place to learn alot of information about African Greys. If you have any specific questions, just ask and some of our more experienced members will be glad to help. If you have any pictures of Tiger, we would love to see them.
  16. Ana Grey prefers to step up on my wrist or forearm because she gets better purchase, if I offer a finger she grabs hold with her beak and it hurts, but she isn't trying to bite, she is trying to hold on!! The wrist or forearm work better because she feels more secure. Be patient and good luck!!
  17. Thanks for this great information of cage placement. I am placing a copy of this post with others I have printed concerning care for greys. My daughter pointed out that I should write down instructions on caring for Ana Grey if I am ever incapacitated. Because that isn't an easy task if you do it right, I have been copying various informative posts, i.e., Dave007 body language post, poisonous food and plants and toxic cleaners posts, etc. All this goes into a plastic baggie placed with Ana Grey's travel cage and nonperishable food supplies in case of emergency. So thanks Caroline!!
  18. Hey Swan glad you could join us. Can't wait to see some pictures of Joe and Rex.
  19. mjames, you are so clever, please post the finished net when you get it done, I would really like to see it. Echo is a very lucky grey!!
  20. Judy, for sure I have a whole bucket full of Margaritas and its no fun drinking alone!!
  21. Made a bucket of Margaritas; called the kids and wished them all Happy New Year; then cuddled up with Tom Selleck for awhile and then Brad Pitt and Eric Bana; so many movies, I mean men, so hard to choose! I hope you feel much better Caroline. Happy New Year Everyone!!
  22. Dad does great work and McKenzie seems to really appreciate it. I must get some Legos next time I go shopping. Thanks for sharing this great playstamd idea with us.
  23. Hi gooddoggie, and welcome to the family. How long have you had Jeepers? Can't wait to see some pictures, first chance you get. Happy New Year to you too!
  24. Actually, Ana Grey didn't make it to even the East Coast New Year, she was asleep by 8:54 pm West Coast time!!
