Since your grey is flighted, what I do if Ana Grey tries to go where I don't want her, is to shrug my shoulder or shake my head so that landing there or being there is very uncomfortable and just not fun! Ana Grey is very familiar with the phrases, "No, stop that" and "that's not nice." If you are consistent, they do get the message or at least quit trying so often!!!!

It certainly does take time and diligence to introduce a new bird into the flock. But so rewarding when they finally all find their places and mesh their personalities into a workable relationship. Of course, it helps when your birds know your body language as well as you do theirs. Everything seems to be moving along smoothly, great job!!!!

I have hanging ceiling perches/boings for my grey to sit on and playstands around so Ana Grey can be close but not always on me if she wants. Some days she wants to be alone just like we do.

Deuce is most likely just relaxing. This is all new to him and now he needs a chance to get his energy back from the excitement of change and moving around. Just give Deuce a chance to re-group and relax. Make sure he has food and water and just let him chill for awhile. Congratulations on your new companion!!!!

Eva is going to call me tonight, love this no toll for long distance we now have in the USA!! Gwen, this is a new batch of babies the others were male so I will have to wait a little longer. I'll ask Eva tonight, or when she calls, when I can expect my little girl and when she was hatched. If there had not been a female in the 3 now, I would have had to wait until the next babies were ready to be removed and there are 10 of them. Eva breeds several different kinds of exotic parrots in an outdoor aviary. She is located in sunny California. Isabella's new cage is on its way here and I have already received some toys, perches, etc. So I'll be more than ready when the time comes. I only need to decide where to place her cage in the bird room and wait!!!!

DNA tests are in!!!! I have my new baby girl, Isabella!!!!!! She is still on two feedings so I will have to wait, but for sure I have my Isabella!!!!! Am delighted!!!!

Funny, but then, not so funny. I have been trying to get Ana Grey to say, "Open the door, let me out" but now I'm glad she refused to learn it!!!!!! LOL!! I'm sure Rebel will be making lots of friends this summer, hope you like guys in uniform!!!! LOL!!!!

So glad to hear that Cocoa is fine. My Ana Grey is like that; full of vinegar and challenges my larger Amazon all the time. Luckily for Ana Grey, she is quick and limber and Louie is slow and clumsy!!!
