Yesterday was totally beautiful and warm and cozy! I took my pug and my Ana Grey for a walk. Ana Grey did great in her harness once I got it on her and she was more than happy to let me take in off upon returning home from a nice walk!

Sully did not interact with Ana Grey or Louie. He liked to be left alone and sit in his cage or in his travel cage. Ana Grey doesn't let anyone get in her way of what she wants. Even Louie who is twice the size of Ana Grey is bullied and ignored by my little lady. Ana Grey is just Ana Grey, who has full run of the house as she always has. She is quite spoiled!

Personally, I would look the company up on the internet and get an e-mail/telephone number and ask them personally for their endorsement/guaranty thatt the cookware was safe!

I just got a note from Jordan's sister, Jessica (14) and she said that Sully is a sweetheart. That he is kissing them on the cheek and making lots of noises (Sully only says Hi,and makes noises he does not talk, at least never for me, perhaps he will do more with Jordan.) They all sound very happy and so I am absolutely thrilled for Sully. This is what I wanted for him, to find a person/family that would love and care for him. I do admit that I am a little jealous that the bonding he has made with Jordan and Jessica is so much greater than what we had. But this is what I wanted for Sully, a loving parront and now he has one. Hooray!

Burt sounds like a very loved and wonderful friend. Thank you for sharing your "Dear Burt" with us. I wish you could have introduced him to us in life as well as in memory.

Love the chain swing, I have a couple I made for my parrots. They love them too!!!! Great looking room and accessories!!!!

Jordan came over twice yesterday to tell me how he and Sully are getting along. Sully even flew to Jordan, something he never did for me, I am so happy they both seem so happy together. Sully has also been nuzzling Jordan with his beak, another something he never did for me! I am amazed that they have melted together so quickly. I hope it continues and that Sully has finally found a home for himself!

Well so far so good. Sully seems to love Jordan. He wants to sit on Jordan's shoulder and be with him. Perhaps this is one of the best things I have ever done. I am delighted and so is Jordan and that's what matters!

As everyone knows I rehomed an older male eclectus a couple of years ago. He was found in a car wash and was terribly plucked. Sully is a very ornery old bird and is very set in his ways, hence no one ever purchased him from the pet shop and if they did, they always returned him. He lived there for over 7 1/2 years before I purchased him. At first Sully was a jewel and then he became infatuated with me and I could no longer handle him. Well, Jordan a 20 year old young man has always loved parrots and could never afford to purchase one. So Jordan has been doing yard work for me and I have given him Sully. Cage and all. All I ever wanted was someone who could love Sully for who he was and really wanted a parrot. So we will see how this goes. I am hoping this will be a permanent solution to Sully's problem. Keep your fingers crossed for Sully, that he has finally found someone to love him unconditionally and be able to handle him also.

I have a re-homed ekkie that is at least 10 years old and he prefers his travel cage to his normal cage. I had him in a larger cage at one time and he would go to his travel cage whenever I let him out (every day). So I got him a smaller everyday cage and gave his larger cage to a zon I rehomed. Sully is happier in a smaller cage go figure!

How wonderful, Robin, I am over the moon for you and Morgan! You have great patience and the reward is all warm and cuddly. Good job!!!!! Way to go Morgan!! Hooray!

I have three parrots, Sully was clipped for over 7 1/2 years before I got him, and although he is fully flighted now he only flies from his cage to the floor or from the floor to the cage. He does not take flight unless I launch him off when I am holding him. My home is small and he is a big male ekkie so a few flaps are all he gets because he is so large. Louie my BFA, has always been flighted I have been told so he came to me flighted, but he is like a lumbering giant that is top heavy. He takes short flights, but then my home like I said each room is small. Now my TAG, Ana Grey came to me clipped and is a regular little missile after she became flighted after a year and can maneuver and turn corners no problem. She is amazing to watch. She is tiny and very fast. Ana Grey use to quiver before she could really fly. She would test her wings daily, she wanted to fly so much. She would quiver before she launched herself..... like in anticipation. And each time she became better. Now she is a wiz to watch.

Oh pictures please! I would love to see the room with birds enjoying the paintings!
