All Georges toys are done with the plastic type screw fasteners .I have yet to trace where i can buy then cause they came with the toys .They are really nice and colourful

I like second one better as well The first looks to boxy for my liking !

Thanks everybody George is going in his travel cage .I got the large one its 60x43x53 cms.They have also said that he can go in a bigger cage if i want but will just see when i get there .He seems to be ok in his travel cage when go up to mums and stay there.I must admit my stomach is doing sumersaults at min and my nerves overtime.I just think as you say Im feeling worse then he will be ! :huh:<br><br>Post edited by: Poppy, at: 2009/07/30 16:42

George is going to the boarding vets tomorrow for 10 days. The place he is going to his owned by Alan Jones a well known parrot expert, so im ok with that. I have seen there facilities and they are brilliant.However Im just wondering how I can make the experience pain free for him and me .I have never left him alone before I normally take him with us in the travel cage .Alan as assured me he will get plenty of out cage time and ppl will interact with him .I have got treats and favourite toys to take with me but now starting to stress a little as its getting so near .<br><br>Post edited by: Poppy, at: 2009/07/30 16:41

I buy stuff for george from ebay.I always check there feedback and various other things and so far have not had any problems with my things .Good Luck and Happy Hunting

I have concrete perches (2) in his cage and like judy says they dont work as well as i thought.George is going to have his nails clipped agin next week the second in 9 mths .My hands are beginnning to look like ive been foraging in a thorn bush again ! lol

I have a very large aquarium and George loves to watch it ! he is facinated by it all the time .I work 20 hrs a week and George as always been fine with it .I often leave the tele or radio on for hum

George was on seed when i got him but gradually weaned him onto Zupreem Fruitblend which is what he is on now .I have tried him on Harrisons but he much prefers the Zupreem FruitBlend.

Well on the 31st July George is going to be boarded at a well known international vets called Alan Jones so I know he will be well looked after and treated like royalty ! I have a desciion to make ............. Do I ............ Have him miocrochipped whilst there ? And .... Do i have him DNAed ??? Altnough no really bothered I am intrigued to know what sex he his ! My other question is cause he is a rehomed Grey ( and so adored) will it maybe give me a truer age then the rough one I got now ? And is it really nessecary to put him through this ? I would really like your thoughts on this Thanks

Caroline Im in tears reading this .Having visited you and seen your greys I can only imangine what you are going through .My thoughts and prayers are with you and know that you will make the best descion for all of you .I only wish i could be nearer and of some help .

You canna see in my post about the shower but i was as freaked out as you cause George is the same ! I thought it was cause he is going through a really hard moult at the min !

You can notice a Hole ? in the fethers on his chest on the first picture ? this is exactly the same spot as he lost all his feathers just after I got him and i thought he was plucking ! Very strange

Well had george nearly nine months now and he never ceases to amaze me .I decided to take the plunge today and try him in the shower with me ! He is going through a moult at min and dont seem to happy with all this heat we are having .Pictures not to good cause i forgot to put the extractor on :ohmy: But hope you get the idea that once he was in he loved it and got really wet !

George travel cage is the same luvparrots and like you i only use it for vets weekends away and sunshine ,he sleeps in his big cage when at home

Some one is Rhys's class has now got swine flu as well as our neighbour one side and also two doors away ! its like waiting for it to come and get us ! Im sure it will I really dont think there is any escape from it no matter what I do ! I just hope its mild cases .We have been warned that from the onset of illness Rhys and I have got to have 7 days off school/work.

I have got a 4 way lock one and its a staywell one available from argos in both brown and white as to quiet im not sure about that its just as it flaps shut till the magnet at the bottom catches it and it stops .My cat has never got through it when ive locked it .Hope this helps
