  5. Hi and welcome Tulip! I'm not from your neck of the woods either, but we feed Morgan fresh fruits and veggies, organic baby food fruits, veggies, and juices, a fruity flavored pellet (AvianMaintnence Fruit Blend), a nut seed and bits that look like dog kibble mix (Sunscription Vita-plus parrot formula), pasta, mashed potatos, some multigrain breads, he likes rice crispies and cheerio's ... he eats many of the foods we eat. We get all of his food from either the local market or our garden. His pellets and seed/nut mix we get from our local pet store. In a big city like Atlanta you will have access to a huge variety of fresh organic foods for your new addition
  6. I use vinegar and water and a small brush to clean my birds stuff. Works well for us.
  7. Great pics, looks like a good time was had by all :laugh:
  8. Hi and welcome Kristel and General! I hope you get your troubles with General sorted out and he returns to his old self soon :unsure:
  9. Morgan loves to chew rawhide "dog" treats. We got him this "skewer" that hangs from the top of his cage, it's meant to put wooden blocks and such on it, we drill a small hole in different sizes and shapes of rawhide and stick them on the skewer. He goes crazy over them. (the skewer is also great for holding corn on the cob and other yummy, stiff treats). He also likes to hold them and mouth them, but he can't really go at them like he can if something else is holding it for him. We also get many of his toys from other sections of the stores. He has some baby toys, some cat toys, his favorite foot toy was advertised as for rabbits. I've found that many things marketed toward other animals can be great, safe fun for birds. I hadn't thought of trying a rattle with Morgan, good suggestion
  10. Looks like it's all sorted out now. I didn't see the stray photo, but it sounds like a cool one. Could have been much worse :blink:
  11. Congrats on your new cage arriving. It's so much fun getting everything just right for their homecoming
  12. Our breeders were so sure Morgan was a girl. Negative, dna test came back and they were surprised
  13. Glad to hear things are going well and Loki is settling in nicely. Hope your surgery goes well.
  14. Hi and welcome Brittany! Looking forward to hearing about your new additions homecoming. We got our sun conure from a pet store. We visited with him as often as we could before we brought him home. I believe us being able to form a friendship with him prior to bringing him home made the transition very easy and fun, for us and him. If you can, I definately reccomend visiting as often as you can manage
  15. Hi Sanggay and Koko, welcome to the forum! Koko is adorable! The last photo of her sleeping is too cute
  16. Hi and welcome Nora, looking forward to hearing about your new grey's homecoming.
  17. Same with my flock, luke warm water and natural drying. We let Morgan take a bath whenever he wants to. It probably works out to 4 or 5 times a week. Add to that daily mistings and you have a bird who is merrily making you soggy much of the time {Characters-00020067}
  18. Hi and welcome Diane and Polly!
