  1. Hi Fred! Congrats on your new grey! Can't wait to hear about her/his homecoming. Welcome aboard!
  2. Hi and welcome! The pic you have for your avitar is very cool. 32 posts, not sure how I missed you before lol
  3. Hi and welcome! Maybe you could try putting a toy of two where he can play with them while on his stand? With our tag, when he's occupied or tired he's great. When he gets bored and we're trying to do things that don't involve him, he can be a pill
  4. Hi and welcome! Grats on your two new additions!
  5. Hi Mitch and Tigger, welcome to the forum! Tigger is a handsome boy.
  6. Hello to you ans Cisco! He's adorable We brought our tag home at 13 weeks, he'll be 19 weeks Tuesday. We also have a diverse flock of our tag, a sun conure, 3 budgies, 2 cats, a dog and some fish. Welcome aboard!
  7. Hi and welcome! We also have a sun conure. Grats on your new grey
  8. Hi and welcome! 2 weeks seems like such a short time to return looking like the poor guy does. I hope you are able to take him in. Good luck
  9. Hi and welcoem to you and Trixie! She certainly is a beauty
  10. Hi and welcome Caz and Alfie!
  11. Hi and welcome! We have a dog, 2 cats and a few other birds. Morgan (our grey) is very amused when the dog barks, when the cats have a scuffle... He's pretty laid back though and is really not affraid of anything yet. Every bird is different though. Good luck with your journey
  12. Great pictures! Thanks for the update! Looks like Zero is living it up in his new cage.
  13. Super cute pictures! Thanks for sharing
  14. I have three budgies, a sun conure and a tag. Morgan, our 18 week old tag had shown aggression toward all of them. We don't let them out of their cages at the same time, unless in seperate closed off rooms. A few times Morgan has gone straight for the other birds cages, feathers ruffled, with a predatory look in his eyes. We have learned how to give everyone lots of out of cage time safely. As others have said, every bird is an individual, this is just my experience with my tag and other birds
  15. We got our sun conure from a large chain pet store. The staff weaned him and spent tons of time with him. They were very knowledgeable and they treated him as if he were their personal pet. They not only answered all of my questions patiently, but they asked me many questions to make sure that I knew what I was getting into with a sun (they can be super loud and are attention hogs). Stewie (our sun) has such a great personality, is confident, friendly and a complete joy to be around. If we decide to add another conure to our flock (this store usually only carries finches, budgies and conures for birds), we will most likely go back there. Every time we go back to buy food or toys, or just to look around they ask how Stewie is. We had a fantastic experience with a pet store and I could not hope for a better bird than my Stewie. If you see a bird you may be interested in check out the store, visit often. Look at the condition of the birds, watch how the birds react to the staff members that are interacting with them. There are definately some crummy stores out there, but there are some really great ones too. Check out a few with an open mind, you may be surprised, and you may find your perfect companion there <br><br>Post edited by: Abernathy, at: 2008/10/07 02:05
  16. Hi and welcome! Ask away! There's tons of information and many many knowledgeable and experienced folks here.
  17. Hi and welcome! Grats on your first bird! Glad to hear she is adjusting well. My grey also made a smooth transition to our home. We used to have a couple of albino burmese pythons many years ago. Every now and then we talk about maybe getting a ball python but I always spend all of our extra money on the birds so I guess it's not meant to be lol. I'd love to see some pictures of your tag when you get a chance. We enjoy oooh-ing and aaah-ing over each others pets here. I hope things continue to go smoothly with your new girl. Looking forward to hearing more about you guys
  18. Hello Rue et al, welcome! Sounds like you have a very exciting flock! We'd love to see pictures of your birds! Glad to hear your TAG is letting her feathers grow back in, she must be happy with you. Looking forward to hearing more about you and your birds
