Loki is so cute! I bet you can't wait to bring him home! I did Alex's dna test threw www.amrlabs.com it was only $20. We went with Alex for 2 reasons first because it can be for both him/her. Second as a tribute to the original Alex.

I keep my hair short so that really isn't a problem. But I can so see your need to keep him off.

Alex prefers his veggies cooked and warm. He will eat fresh raw but really likes just about everything cooked. He loves fruit popcicles also! Those are best when sharing with one of the family!

I have lots of rawhide some of it I even died (with food color). Alex totally ignores it. Normally he is into EVERYTHING. If I have it he wants it to chew on with the exception of rawhide. The goof ball!

Oh Nicky has you wrapped around his little talen! Sense our birds live in the living room and are put to bed before everyone else goes to bed I don't think that the music will bother them one way or another. We just put them in thier cages and cover them up. They tend to play a bit but then settle down all on thier own.

Spicy really doesn't matter. Birds can eat habineros like candy. Most love hot peppers. Not sure about the coriander though.

I have a ton of rawhide that I even died but so far Alex is totally uninterested. Oh well...

Baby food is really good. Just make sure to read the lable. Some of the "flavors" have sugar and other add in's. I too add baby food to the morning mash to give varity. Both birds love it! B)

I've never noticed a difference in smell. But then we have cats, a dog, a snake (OMG does it smell when she poos!) Just remember that birds are VERY sensitive to smells. Sented candles, perfume, air fresheners, ect are a no no. It is really bad for them. All that stuff sets off my migrains so I don't have them in the house anyway.

Alex being only a year old doesn't do much that is really clever. He likes to untie knots unscrews quick links. I would have to say that the cleverest thing he has done was when I was painting the kitchen. We have a beaded curtain over the doorway so that he can't fly into the kitchen. He really wanted me so he climed down the side of his cage to the floor. He then walked under the beaded curtain so that he could get to me. He had me laughing so hard I couldn't be mad at him! {Feel-good-0002006E}

Nope don't need to worry about that. If he needs to go he hops down. The only time he poos on me is if I have him out in his harnes. I really should work on potty training him for when we are out.

The only problem I have is that he likes to sit on my head while he preens my hair. He gets heavy!

Dont' worry just like kids learning to walk there will be the occasional crash but they will get the hang of it quit quickly then there is no stopping them! :woohoo:

Yep with the exceptions already listed the sky's the limit. Alex loves the little red Thai chili peppers. Becarful after feeding hot peppers though. They get the capsaison all over and then it can get on you and make your skin ect burn! Alex eats dinner with us and anything on our plates is fair game.
