As has been said, a vet visit is needed first to rule out any physical problems and rule out illness as the cause of plucking. Moving from home to home is very hard on a grey, this could be the most likely cause.Please ensure the children are not stressing her out.Moving the cage to an area where she is more secure is a good idea.Make sure she has lots of toys and that she is playing with them.Keep her beak busy with lots to chew.<br><br>Post edited by: she, at: 2009/09/06 07:07

Charlie loves fish,fresh cooked fish.

That video was brilliant.Now if only Charlie and Cracker could do that.

Charlie never gets soaked,one shake and he looks just a bit damp in places.Cracker is the same.I have been told before that this is a sign of good feather condition.

I think it is right for you to concider the needs of the grey before jumping in and being sorry later.You have a very busy work load and it may be wise to hang on till things settle. I work shift work and Charlie is left alone ,I have a little cockatiel who is great company for him and also my Dad will come round while im at work for a bit to break up the day.It is not easy and I have to prioritise things so the birds get lots of attention.

Good luck in your quest for a grey.I know it sounds like they are hard work, they are but its a labour of love.My grey keeps me on the go all the time but I would not be without him.
