Hehe, well, we'll see tonight I'm sure hehe. Could just be wishful thinking. It'll be interesting at work today, thankfuly I'm working with a few people I really enjoy working with, or I'd be miserable. Just hoping my Boss doesn't give me the "I don't care what you need, you have to be here Wednesday" speech. We have our initial vet visit Wed. He'll be in for a shock when I tell him off lol. I think I might be a bit on edge today ... lol My boss is the jerk of all bosses.

I've been wondering about this one as well. In the summer time, in our condo, it can get really stuffy in here unless I crank up the A/C. I tend to keep it around 20 degrees in here (70f for you strange non-celsius people ). In the winter time though, the same can happen with it being stuffy in here at night (We rarely have to turn on the heat). So I have to open up the windows and make a sort of wind tunnel in here. I normally have a fan in the living room window, pointing out, and on the other window in the computer room (which is on the other side of a sliding glass door) I have the window open. So cool/cold air comes in the computer room, goes through our bedroom, then out into the living room and out the living room window. Loki's cage is in the living room 15 feet from the window. The only thing I can think of is I'll have to keep the living room window closed, move our new fan into the computer room and try to suck some cold air in, while keeping the sliding glass door closed. Now Loki is out of the draft zone where he is for the windows and the A/C, but I'm just afraid to let cold air into the living room at all . And the only time I would do this is when his cage would be covered. Man is this bird making me paranoid .. and he's not even home yet!! :silly: . (38'ish hours to go!)

Not really, been stuck at work yesterday, and I will be today. Tomorrow I have to finish setting up a few small things for his cage (We bought a wooden perch, it's kinda .... HUGE .. gotta cut a branch off) and relax, since I didn't get to much on my 10 day vacation since we were remodeling the bathroom hehe. Then Monday I have to work ... Monday will probably be the one day that will drag, since it's so bloody boring at my work on Mondays . Kim, however, has been saying .. and I quote .. *ahem* .. " I want my Birdy home NOW! :(" for about a week now   :woohoo: :silly:

Nope, next Tuesday actually 4 more days and counting
-
Not a clue. The one I have seen online recently was 17mm by 22mm ... a tad big for our lil' birdies. Good for a dog though.

Wow that's quite a list lol. Kim and I were origionally thinking Zeus, but the name Loki kinda came to me one day, told Kim the history of Loki (god of Mischeif), and we were sold hehe. Norse mythology: In Norse mythology, a cunning trickster who had the ability to change his shape and sex. Although his father was the giant Fárbauti, he was included among the Aesir (a tribe of gods). Loki was represented as the companion of the great gods Odin and Thor, helping them with his clever plans but sometimes causing embarrassment and difficulty for them and himself. Sounded about right to us

When we saw Loki yesterday, he had a popsicle stick and was going to town on it, I pulled out the yellow and red dumbell foot toy and let him see it, he instantly flung the popsicle stick down, and waddled over towards the dumbell with an "OOOOoo me want!" look on his face. I offered the popsicle stick a few minutes later and I swear he looked at me like I was on something hehe. It's good to see he likes toys, any shape or form hehe. Just wait till the lil spoiled guy gets home hehe, he won't know what to do hehe.

One more visit on Thursday, then we bring him home! .. Been on Vacation getting soem remodeling done around here, found out that my boss ignored my request for Sept 10th-13th off  ... He's such a(n) _________ *Fill in your choice of word here* Going to have to tell him on Wednesday that I told him I needed those off, and I absolutly still do. He'll give me a hard time, but worse comes to worse I'll tell him I can work Friday and Saturday ... Wednesday I need, we take Loki to the Vet.

Yes yes, I make more topics for Loki pictures then most make in a month, but! that's the whole point isn't it?! Here are a few I took today, and played with in Photoshop (we're going to be framing a couple of these :woohoo:) Enjoy! The ones with a dab of colur are the ones we're framing

Thanks everyone! Matt, I concidered making them to sell for about as long as it took my hands to start throbbing again lol It cost me about $175 to put together completely (minus any toys) and the longest thing was actually cleaning all the pipes (they were grimey ) or waiting for the fittings to come in which was about 2 weeks. I already have another order of fittings set up on the website I used, for when I'm ready to make some other stuff. Talon, been thinking that myself. As of right now we have the Boing about 5 feet away from the playstand on another ceiling hook .. figured we'd let him see it, then introduce him to it when we see him hanging upside down for the first time. Dan, if you wanna come over, we're in Canada

Ah, didn't know that you hadn't named her hehe. Sorry if I brought that up on ya

Love all the video's! I subscribed to your channel What's her name?

Well, $230 per filter and Austin gives a 5 year warrenty on the filters, that's $50 a year, or $4 a month ($0.14 a day hehe :silly:), which is worth it. I'm normaly only allergic to cats and dogs, and I haven't noticed any problems from our once-a-week 3 hour visit to see Loki, but in the long run it might be worth it. I know it would help keep the air fresh and smelling clean(er) and would probably help with my other minor allergies that just cause some minor congestion (which I'm sure causes more snoring for Kim ... I'm a chainsaw ). The only reason I'm looking at Austin is that it's sold here in Canada. Also, looking at IQ .. they're near double the price lol .. sooo $450-$550 for an air purifier of that quality would be fine with us.

Ok, better question. What in the world is the difference between these: http://www.austinair.com/healthmate.php http://www.austinair.com/allergymachine.php http://www.austinair.com/healthmateplus.php Or the Petmachine from my previous post? lol The specs look the same ..<br><br>Post edited by: Broomer, at: 2008/08/30 01:20

Kim and I were looking into buying one of these: http://www.austinair.com/petmachine2.php Anyone else have one? Anyone know anything that works just as good but doesn't cost $500? lol
-
Oh my Carolyn! Hope you got some sleep! Glad to hear everything is ok. Kim and I have been thinking about just that. Loki's cage is right near our fire alarm speaker, I've already started covering it with a taped-on book lol, it's deafeningly loud, so I hope Loki handle's it ok if it goes off. The joys of living in a condo, it goes off once every month or so for testing and such..

Well, it's done! :cheer:  Take a look! B) still needs a tiny bit of Vetwrap, and i'll eventually replace the white vetwrap with a colorful one. But so far, it'll do (The boing will come down before he comes home, incase he doesnt have the best balance at first. We'll have it out so he can see it.)<br><br>Post edited by: Broomer, at: 2008/08/29 01:08
