Well until about 2 years ago I was terrified of ALL birds...even finches!! I am still scared of chickens and DUCKS!! OMG!! How awful they are!! The scary things they chase you around!! I swear I think they want to eat me...revenge for all the years I have eaten chicken!!! LMAO!!!:woohoo: :unsure:

I ran up into the attic and searched, and down into the basement. Then I went through every closet and checked under all the beds. You are right!! they will get over it!! The worst I ever had happen while I was out of town was this summer when my cat had her first litter of kittens...she decided to move them while we wer gone and one fell inder the heat vent in the floor boards!! I had to take the whole heat thing off and cut a big hole in the floor and then I barely got him out!! But he made it and all the birds were good too!! I was actually gone for 4 days that time too!!:blink:

Well that long trip could be stressful...but if you think he would do good then take him with!! But Im sure he would do fine with the sitter too!! Its really up to you and what you think is best for Oliver!! I have taken my birds on trips but never more than a 3 hour drive..they did fine and seemed to enjoy it!! Birds like adventure too, im just not sure with that long of a ride!! Good luck!

I don;t do it often either...only if I HAVE too!!! Makes me nervous but my goodness I leave them enough food for a month!! LOL!

I agree Rhonda! I love that cage, and when Aries gets his new one my little Brown-head parrot will get that one!! Wonderful cage!! I got mine at petco on clearance for $35:woohoo: Couldnt pass it up for that price!!

Oh go and have fun and your birds will be fine!! Trust me! I go out of town for the weekend at least once a month!! Sometimes I have a bird sitter sometimes I just stock up their food and water and go!! But guess what they are all ok when I get home...and they even still love me!! LOL!!! have fun girl!!
