  1. He can go out as long as your climate is warm.Keep him out of direct sunlight. You must be very aware of how he's flight is coming on in the next week or so,any sudden gust of wind is enough to give your baby lift.Just air on the side of caution at all times. I strongly suggest harness training your baby there is a thread here in the nursery

  13. Hi Carol, Alex's death wasn't unexplained & wasn't associated in any way with Harrison's food. Here is a link so you can read the pathology results on Alex's death...Alex died from either a stroke, heart attack, or a cardiac arrythmia caused by arteriosclerosis. As for administering medication, it's something i haven't had to do,mine stil have a spoon feed & in the event of them having to have anything oral i would administer mine by spoon,Im sure other members who have experienced giving medication will be along to advise. I wish bobby a speedy recovery http://birds.about.com/b/2007/10/19/pathology-results-for-alex-the-african-grey.htm
  14. Young CAG's have dark grey tips on their tail feathers. He will molt out his baby tail feathers & these will be replaced by the brighter red ones you see.If the beak is black then he is a CAG. Definitely looks CAG in your avatar.

  16. di mirrors always pose a threat for our greys, personally i would remove the larger one, having it as a backdrop to your greys cage would have potential risks. The one over the fireplace if it was me i would leave, when you bring your grey home, show her from the start that the mirror is there, she may well be inclined to ignore it,if you have a playstand in place she will have a landing platform & hopefully wont land on the mirror.Just my personal view, i have 4 greys who although have their own room do come into the living room but ignore my mirror.
