  1. I have 4 greys, My two girls, who are both re-homes do have leg rings, my two boys do not have leg rings but are microchipped.I know the rings can irritate some greys & they can get them caught while playing. It really is a personal choice. As for ID purposes, if god forbid your grey was ever lost wearing a leg ring will make no difference if your grey was to fall in the hands of a dishonest person.
  2. Great website Ronda, you have the cutest bunnies & what a nice thing for the children to be involved in. We had rabbits when i was a child i believe there were Dutch, black & whie ones they were house pets ! I have a rabbit now that i just adore
  3. Hi Kinga, my daughter has suffered from psoriasis for years, She is 20 in a few weeks,She interacts with my four greys & baby macaw & to be honest i don't think they have had any bearing on the psoriasis, as you know sometimes it flares up for various reasons, stress etc.. See if you can get a few more opinions but personally i think your partner will be fine

  17. How old is your grey ? Baby greys often use their beaks to explore with.If he is biting hard you just need to tell him no in a firm voice, nothing else & return him to his cage or play-stand for a few minutes & walk away, gradually he will learn that biting is not acceptable & gains him no reward.Never reinforce his bad behaviour but always reward good behaviour

  22. Hi archna, Welcome to the forum. As they are both very young i would give avian biotech a call & ask at what age they advise, They are able to do DNA sexing from a single drop of blood or small chest feather, the chest feather being the friendlier option for your bird,if un-sure please allow your avian vet to do it when the babies are older.. http://www.avianbiotech.com/ Here is a few links for you which have information on feeding.. if you have a look around the nursery you will find topics related to baby greys. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/the-nursery/73409-handfeeding-a-baby-grey.html http://www.greyforums.net/forums/the-nursery/73842-associated-risks-of-hand-feeding.html
  23. The most popular herbal remedy for the care of parrots is aloe vera, you could apply a little aloe vera gel, this may help prevent any bruising, if a deep cut then id advise a phone call to your avian vet
