I can only speak from my own personal experience & im sure other members will share their advice with you. I only ever intended to have one grey but i followed 2 eggs hatch & two greys develop.I was unable to pick one from the two & took home both babies.I was told by various people that the greys would bond with eachother & not myself or my family.I have found this to be totally untrue.My two boys were hand-reared & very well socialized with humans.We continued that when we brought the boys home.They have never lost their interest in us humans & i do have a bond with them both. if you intend adding a second grey at a later date then i would say go for two babies now from the same clutch if possible,if you are prepared to socialize them & make the effort it will be far easier than adding a second grey at a later date which can encounter many problems. Good for you for standing your ground & not loosing your temper,that took alot of self control considering the circumstances I hope Echo's wounds heal quickly.

How often do you bathe/spray her ? Greys can play a little rough sometimes & knock their feathers which gives them that tatty look.she will be going through her first molt very soon & they will be replaced.I doubt very much it is anything to do with her when she was chick. When she bites you need to tell her in a firm voice "NO",return her to her cage or play stand for a few minutes & completely ignore her.Do not react in anyway to the biting,in time she will learn that biting is not acceptable & she gains nothing from doing so.Always praise positive behaviour & ignore bad behaviour.

If you need to towel him, approach from behind, use a dark coloured towel,as quick as you can place the towel over him,scoop him up by getting a firmish grip around his wings & straight in to his carrier.

Firstly don't apply any clotting powder/flour to the chest area, if the bleeding is a constant flow with a clean towel etc.. apply gently pressure to the cut,it should clot within 5 minutes.If the bleeding doesn't stop you need to take him to stright to the vet,if you are unhappy leaving him then stay,it is because of their incompetence that he has the wound & i would tell them you need to stay with him,rather they causing him unnecessary stress.

Some parrots, particularly African greys, shake their heads as if there's water in the ears. No one really knows why they do this, and it seems to be normal. If your bird does it excessively it may be a sign of an ear or nasal infection, im sure your baby is fine .
