What other kinds of branches are safe? How can they be sterilized?

My CAG's name is Jack, our intention was to train him to inform people that his name was CAPTAIN Jack (Pirates of the Caribbean anyone?) I kind of wish I had given him a more interesting name. Now that I think about it there are many names I wish I had used... Oh well. I'm sure I'll have other pets to name in the future.

These are all from about a year and a half ago... but there's Jack! His feathers have gotten better since then. :side:

Yes, my grey LOVES apples. There was a time when any time we offered him food, no matter what it was, Jack would say, "Apple?" He also loves cheese, but I can't imagine that's too good for him... :unsure:

Clicker training definitely sounds like it's worth a shot... I'm going to try it on my bratty CAG :laugh: I want to start right now, but I don't have a clicker yet... What kind of treats do you all recommend using with this method? My grey is kind of picky and there aren't many foods he'll eat while anyone is watching.
