I wish you were closer to me, I could use some help sometimes with the computer, I am not as literate with it as the younger ones are today who grew up with them so they are like second nature. I had to learn about it later in life and I find that the more I know the more I know I don't know, does that make any sense to you?

You came in loud and clear, and you are so right, I know when I write a post I am saying to myself what I want to type and everyone knows you can take the same sentence and say it differently and it may mean something other than what you meant. I doubt it will be frightful for Dayo, I don't remember Josey being that afraid, a little cautious maybe due to the new surroundings, but put him in his cage and let him adjust to it and then offer to let him come out on his terms, soon he will and the fun begins. Enjoy.

Right Beccy and that is why I think the bird is 2+ years, the eyes are too yellow for any younger. Right again, Beccy, the bonding will take place earlier if it is a baby, but an older bird will take a little longer, the only difference character wise is maybe the treatment it received before it came into your hands.

I've also taken her with me when I visited my son out of state, he is about 4 hours away from me. Even though she spent most of the time in the cage, she was happy and I will do that again soon. I work for a small company and we don't have a lot of the public come in to the office, sometimes no one and they kind of like her too, so is a win win thing.

Wednesday being the holiday probably no one came in to do anything. I would imagine things would have to be a lot worse before the birds would be taken away, I shudder to think of what that might be. Its a shame that people do that to birds or any animals for that matter, it is all about the money, not the birds welfare and health. Thanks for doing such a good job and keep after them for us.:angry:

Just lay some old towels on the bottom of the cage to be a cushion for a fall. But soon he will be all over the cage so won't need that anymore. I like the sound of your breeder, turning away potential customers is a good sign, means he is more interested in the welfare of the birds and not the money in his pocket, wish more people were like that. If he thinks you will be ok with him then he knows his stuff and you must be proud that he trusts you enough to let you have him early. Good luck to you and your new baby and I look forward to hearing more about him and more pictures of his progress.

I sometimes take Josey to work with me, she enjoys it and that gets her out of the house occasionally. She sees a few other people there but sometimes I am by myself at work but it is still fun for us. Keeps her used to the travel cage so I don't have a problem with getting her into it.

Yeah it would be nice if we could do more than one at a time, sometimes the occasion warrants it, but then it would be subject more to abuse, maybe.

Well of course it never hurts to have him around extra people anyway as that gets them accustomed to new people. Sounds like very good advice, Beccy.
