  1. He was having a very berry good time.{Feel-good-0002006E}
  2. That is so depressing, how can you stand it when you have to go so long and not see the sun? I couldn't live there, I will just stay here in the US, in the mountains of Virginia where it is going to be hot as hades today, but at least we have sun most of the time.
  3. Yes please post a photo of that if possible, Beccy, a picture would say a thousand words.:laugh:
  4. Kind of sounds like he is in love with you, and he does like you a lot since he is regurgitating for you, he may see you as a mate, I know this is funny but it happens. Of course regurgitating for you is a sign of affection and that is good, but he is lowering his wings and whimpering so that is a bird looking to you as its mate. I would not make a big deal of it but at least you can feel lucky your bird likes you a lot. I hope I have helped you and maybe others here will chime in with some other suggestions I didn't think about. Welcome to the forum and our family of grey owners. Look forward to hearing more about your bird and get us a picture if you can.
  5. I feel the same as Beccy, she would have more attention and company in your house versus letting her stay at home where no one is. She may resort to some bad behaviors if left alone too much. Plus it is easier on you to have her at home with you.
  6. I have an idea but give me some more information please. How old is your bird? How long have you had him? Is he bonded to you?
  7. Sounds logical, Monique, I had a finch that would keep laying eggs and it eventually kills her, she lays herself to death. But I would be leary of buying eggs that way, like Dan said, only highly professional and very experienced people who know what they are doing.
  8. I'd buy a big house for my birds, and get more birds.
  9. That second cage does come in handy for a travel cage, I have one and use it to take her to work with me occasionally. I'm glad, Geoff, that you are introducing your grey to a lot of different things, places, and people. They do need this to make them more socialable. Dan I guess you are excited about bringing Dayo home for a visit, should be interesting, you will have to fill us in on the details of how it goes.
  10. The draft may not be bad for her but it could be fatal for her if she flew up and into the fan. I would use extreme caution in using the ceiling fam, why don't you get a floor fan, at least they have a grill on them so she cannot get into the blades.
  11. Josey's favorite food is cheese, but last night she was chowing down on spaghetti, yum, yum.:laugh: :laugh:
  12. Bronxboomer, you can mix the pellets in with the seed mix to start off, but gradually decrease the seed mix and increase the pellets until you have the pellets only. I feed my grey a separate bowl with pellets in it and another for other things.
  13. Welcome to the family, Lady Gwennivere, and glad you got your grey, even though it was sad for the other girl but hey it was meant to be. I love the name, Jordane, of course I have a granddaughter named Jordan but it does not sound the same. We already have a wealth of information as you know and we look forward to hearing more stories about Jordane and you.

    Amazons

    Don't have an amazon, Tari, but I like looking at yours, lovely colors, a good shot.
  15. Very good Celery, I like the last one the best.:laugh:
  16. Chaos is a double edged sword.:laugh: B) :woohoo: :whistle: :cheer: :dry: :laugh:
  17. Just like everything else, moderation is the key.B)
  18. Boy this is fun when you have to explain things to a genius, but that means you Dan are a friend to Tari and Tari is a friend to Bekkie so there you have it. Glad I could be of service to you, I love it when I know more than the smartest people, just kidding Dan. :laugh: {Characters-0002007B}
  19. Josey poops in her cage too, mine is messy too I guess, but then I have her out she will go over a trash can like CD said. And even my sun conure gets antsy when she is on me and if I put her on her playstand she will go right now, she is learning too.:ohmy: :ohmy:
  20. Meshewa, who in their right mind would name an african grey parrot, Idiot, must have been an idiot who did that, probably thought it was funny. Some people are a few bricks short of a load, if you get my drift. I like the name you picked, Benjamin, will you shorten it to Benji maybe?
  21. Well I have my hubby as a pet, I got him trained real good, comes when called, eats most anything I put before him and worships the ground I walk on. How's that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!{Characters-0002005E}
  22. I'm gonna say it, I don't know why, unless when it is in the dried form they cannot break it down easy in the crop.:ohmy:
  23. Very nice looking grey, Bronxboomer, thanks for sharing that with us. Do you have him on a pellet, something like Harrison's High Potency is what I like, a lot of vets recommend it too, he needs some pellets every day to balance his diet. He should be getting more pellets than seeds.
  24. I know salt is on the list of no no's, but it occurs naturally in lots of foods.
