  1. Jimmy I think he will come to know how much you love him by the way you treat him and thanks for sharing some pictures and a video of him, we love the pictures and you love posting them for us, keep up the good work.
  2. Looks good to me, is similar to one I have and use for Josey, lots to climb on and places to put toys and is recommended for medium sized birds and that is what a grey is, you did good.

  5. You are full of crap, Dave {Feel-good-0002006E}
  6. He doesn't look so mean in this photo, he looks like a little sweetie but then you can see the devil in his eyes. Thanks Terri for sharing another photo of Jiggy with us.
  7. Hello and welcome to the family, OHSNAP, glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your flock. Does your name have anything to do with your occupation, I see you work for USPS, otherwise known as snail mail, opps!!! sorry I didn't mean to say that but I am sure you have heard it before. Just kidding with ya!!!! I see you have a quaker and a keet and are getting a grey, is this your first grey? He certainly is holding on to that banana chip like he intends it to be his and his alone. Please read thru the many threads on various topics for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask us specific questions you may have. We will do our best to get you an answer and help you in any way we can. If you have other pictures of Sam that you would like to share with us we would love to see him.
  8. I am wondering if you have some pictures you would like to share with us of your flock, we would love to see them, how about it, pretty please................

    Orange!

I'm hoping you will flood the site with some pictures of your flock, maybe add a nice one for your avatar.
  10. Now there is a sight to behold, Dan shuddering at the sight of Jiggy, what a Kodak moment that would be. FYI, Dave does not keep me busy cooking, the bedroom duties keep me occupied as Dave is insatiable!!!!!!!
  11. Those are some big dogs, Mario and I can't imagine what your food bill is on them a week, yikes.
  12. Aww come on now, your Mom wouldn't let you, but it is still not too late, go on and get that tree, you should have a tree. Mario that is one fine looking tree, we have put up a 10 footer in the past but never a 15 foot, just tell me how you got the top ornamants and lights on, we had to use a stepladder and I can't navigate those anymore so we have scaled down to below 8 feet. Thanks for sharing a picture of a magnificent tree.
  13. Yes I remember you posting that you were going to pick up your new grey on Saturday but a little snow threw a delay in that and now you are bringing it home today. I would give it a little time to get used to the new home, it can be overwhelming to a new grey, new home, new cage, new flock members and all. Offer some toys, give it some food and water and talk to it softly and let it get used to you. Get us a picture if you can after you bring it home and let us see how adorable it is.
  14. Well come on and take your best shot Dan, for I am an easy target right now with the way I feel.
  15. A good rule of thumb is whatever temperature you are comfortable in they will be the same, its what you get used to.
  16. I think at least 2 a week is about right and some of us use aloe vera juice to give them a bath, it is soothing for their skin especially now that cold weather is here and we all have our heat on.
  17. Its still a little too early for her to be going thru a molt and the neck should not be pink, I think an avian vet visit is in need here especially if she has never seen one before now. I highly doubt that she is plucking either, how often is she bathing?
  18. Hello and welcome to the family, Bozzbozz, glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your grey. Is your grey a baby, do you know it's sex and what is it's name? Is this your first bird/parrot? Please read thru the many threads on various topics for lots of useful information. If you have specific questions please do not hesitate to ask, we will do our best to get you an answer and help you in any way we can. If you have a picture of your grey you would like to share with us please do, we would love to see him/her.
  19. The lesson learned here was that you were not afraid of him and he knew that when you reached back in to get him, he was testing you and you passed with flying colors.
  20. You should be feeding her people food, lots of vegetables, some fruits and whole grains and of course her pellets. All of what you do give her is fine just go easy on the eggs and the cheese. I feed Josey off my plate at the evening meal of whatever I am having but there are certain things you do not give them, and we have some threads here that deal with those very ones. I guess she is a little slow in wanting to give up the feedings but you should try to wean her off of them gradually. I do feed Josey some oatmeal with a little baby food in it in the mornings with a spoon and she enjoys that, it also has a little red palm oil in it too. This way if I ever have to give her some meds by spoon I know I can do that. Most greys are not noisy but they can be vocal several times a day and Josey is no exception, she will go thru all her words and phrases she says and a lot of other sounds she comes up with. Some of the other members will have some other ideas and suggestions for you also.
  21. She is a gorgeous creature, Connie, and what a delight she must be for you and I know you are enjoying her immensely and thanks for sharing her with us in pictures.
  22. Mario you don't have to butter me up, I can take a hint when I see one, but I tried to move it and it didn't work so admin will have to take care of it.
  23. Jimmy she better be careful, Cosmo can bite right thru the chain if you don't watch out, she may need to take it off when she is around him.
  24. Yeah when I pull up I can hear Josey and Sunny calling for me before I can even get in the house, they know the sound of my vehicle, but you gotta love em.

    Orange!

Josey is not too crazy for oranges but Sunny likes to suck the juice out of them, she leaves the pulp.
