  1. Hello Joseharman and welcome to our family. Why don't you tell us more about yourself and if you have a grey or other birds and if so their names, ages and species just so we can get to know you better, pictures are always welcomed.
  2. And so it begins, you are starting to get the hang of this grey now and so glad the members here could help you with that, I see many happy days ahead for you and Alfie.
  3. Congrats on your baby girl, they both are adorable, you are gonna have so much fun with her.
  4. Hello Sohn and welcome to our family. I would love to see some pictures of Tequila if you have some you would share with us.
  5. Wow you had one and now you have three, I am sure they must keep you very busy but happy busy, so glad you could come back and update us on your new additions to your flock and thanks so much for including pictures, they are lovely.
  6. Hello Greg and welcome to our family. I loved the video of Ivan, what an adorable baby and you are right you will learn lots from reading thru the threads here, feel free to post any pictures you want as we love to see the greys.
  7. The best you can do is ignore it for if you give any reaction to it they will take that as encouragment to do it more.
  8. Happy Hatchday Oliver, a big 8 years old and so good looking too.
  9. What a little sweetheart of a bird, that is one precious picture of the new addition sleeping on daddy, nice addition to the flock.
  10. That is poppycock that if you teach them to whistle they won't talk, one of the first things Josey learned was the wolf whistle and she talks up a storm at times.
  11. My grey Josey doesn't like much touching and its only on her terms but she just wants to be close by me most of the time, I can handle that, if you want a cuddly bird then look to a too, they don't call them velcro birds for nothing.
  12. Well bless her little pea picking heart, that leg has healed and she is using it and those toes, I bet most if not all that nerve damage will repair itself, so glad to hear this news, she looks great.
  13. It sounds like you found a very good vet, I like one who takes the time to explain things in terms of the average person being able to understand what he says and DJ took it in stride too, I hope things get resolved soon and he gets all his feathers back in, you are doing great.
  14. My 3 birds do not get along but tolerate each other as long as there is a little distance between them, sometimes that means there is one on each shoulder and one beside me on the couch, they are company for each other when no one is home but you get another bird only if YOU want another bird and not for the company it might provide for Bird. Oh and all the others gave excellent advice also.
  15. Hello Len and welcome to our family. It sounds like you and Penny have a wonderful relationship going and I love hearing you take her with you on outings, they do love being with us or at least near us especially since you live by yourself. We love pictures here so if you have some of Penny you would share with us we would love to see them.
  16. Poor little Luigi has certainly had more than his share of difficulties but so glad you took him to that vet, she sounds like she knows more about what she is doing and I certainly thank you for updating us on him. Val, aka Birdhouse has given you some sound advice, none of us here are vets but a few of the members do have quite a lot of experience, please keep us informed as we care about Luigi.
  17. Hello Chris and welcome to our family. DJ sounds like one lucky grey to have someone so caring about his health and happiness, nothing but the best for him, just what we want to hear and we want to hear lots more about him. You have come to the right place looking for firsthand experience with like members so be sure to read thru as many of the threads as you can, they are loaded with useful information and ask any questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. Pictures are always welcomed.
  18. So sorry for your son's loss of Pete and allowing him to go thru the whole process of death and its consequences is showing him the truth of it all, death is a part of life and sadly we will see the passing of a lot of our pets, it helps to deal with it all, hopefully he will get the opportunity to love another bird.
  19. Happy Birthday to you.

  20. As has been said by Nancy greys can be different in their sleeping preferences, most seem to perfer perching but some like to be on the bottom of the cage, some will even use a sleeping hut, I wouldn't worry about it. There are several threads in the Health room about bathing our greys, several methods are discussed so you might get some help with the bathing problem from them. I would suggest you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us more about you and these two greys.
  21. Happy Belated Hatchday Chloe, mom was good to you I am sure.
  22. They are adorable and have their mouths open ready to be fed.
  23. I am sorry to hear Luigi has injured himself but you are doing the right thing in taking him to an avian vet, looking forward to hearing what the vet has to say.
  24. The holidays do tend to create a little more hassle for our fids with all those decorations and going ons but Cricket has her daddy back now and I bet she is all bright and peachy with that.
  25. Happy Hatchday Hawkins and so glad you could come back and share that with us as you have been missed. I am sorry to hear of your health issues but as you have found having a feathered companion around has made it more bearable for you, please try to find the time to stop in now and then and let us know how you are and take care of yourself.
